When I pulled them out of the package, I could tell right away that there may be a problem with the fit by how small the waist looked. But because of the stretchiness, I needed to give them a chance. The material is great, not thick, but not too thin. The stretch is really good. I truly do not feel like the size chart is accurate. I usually use the size chart as a guide, but rarely do I depend on it. I rated this 5 stars due to the material, stretch, and how they looked on the rest of my body.I am 5'5" and 220lbs. I have big thighs, some hip, and a belly. My hips are 43" which you can see by the size chart does not even exist. I usually wear 14-16, even 17 depending on the fit and brand. These jeans fit me perfectly everywhere else, except my belly. I could've settled for them because even though they were tight in the stomach area, they are stretchy enough that I don't feel I would've been uncomfortable, but they also really squeezed me so the rolls hanging over were not flattering at all. I feel an XXL would've fit me better if not perfectly. I bought an XL since I usually can wear this size in stretchy clothes, but in this case I would recommend sizing up unless you are confident they will fit.
