This kit worked fine in Apple MacBook Pro 13” from 2017. We did need to supply some high-concentration alcohol to remove the old battery (this is described in the instructions, but not included in the kit). Everything else needed was supplied.

I ordered this as a replacement because the original battery in my late MacBook Pro was completely swollen, causing the bottom to bulge and the trackpad to lift. This does happen over time and it was something I was meaning to get round to fixing. I did take it to apple but the cost they quoted me was far too expensive.I will be honest removing the old battery was much more difficult than I anticipated. The battery terminals and ribbons are very delicate so you will have to take your time and make sure you don’t bend or put too much pressure on them. The manual is very helpful but I would highly recommend going on YouTube and watching a video. Seeing it visually done, step by step, is very helpful. It will take you a while so provide that time. The tools aren’t great as they are quite cheap and If you get a tough rotating screw you may find them to be hard to work with. I would maybe suggest purchasing a kit online that is a little better. I only say that because its a delicate process and if you are determined to do it yourself you might as well do it properly. Once installed the battery seems to operate quite well. In terms of the longevity, I can’t comment but right now I’m able to get a days worth out of it. The battery life has considerably improved and although it took me a while to install, it was a fraction off the cost I would have had to pay with Apple. Certainly recommend to anyone looking for an affordable repair option. Just take your time and get the right tools.

Although replacing a MacBook battery is more involved than the simple clunk-click install of batteries in most other types of laptop, it is still possible to successfully do it yourself. I recommend watching some online video tutorials before you embark on this task, though - make sure the MacBook in the video is the same model as yours... and pay attention to the details. Also, wear an anti-static wristband whenever you're opening up any computer and working inside it, even if you're only removing and replacing a battery. The anti-static wristband will ensure you don't fry any electrical components with static electricity from your skin. The real test of any laptop battery is how well it performs over extended time, after many charging/discharging cycles. Most laptop batteries perform well when new. Many of them lose efficiency at a rapid rate. I installed this particular A1819 battery six months ago and it's still going strong, performing just as efficiently as it was when new. That's a good sign. Most replacement batteries, even in a six-month period, lose some of their efficiency. This one hasn't done so. The current price of £70.99 is good value.

I found this fairly easy to install but I’ve replaced the battery on both my laptops. Took about half an hour to do and worked perfectly once I put it all back together. Battery has been in a couple of weeks now with no issues and lasts a full day again. Very happy with this kit.

SLODA Laptop Battery Replacement for MacBook Pro 13'' A1819 A1706 As a technician replacing batteries is something i pretty much do on a week basis. the instructions with this kit is fairly straight forward there easy to read and understand so if you haven't charged a battery before it can feel fairly overwhelming. just follow the steps carefully and take your time don't rush. this is something anyone can do with abit of patience. the tools with this kit i were for me awkward to use they fitted each screws OK if your doing this for the first time then go careful not to strip the head of the screw as this could be easily done. i personally held the tools to check them out then put them away as i used my own. if a screw does become stubborn don't force to the issue. after spending around 30mins trying to remove the old adhesive using some alcohol acetone which was a nightmare to remove once cleaned and dried i placed the new battery in spot and used the new adhesive to stick the battery down. overall once the job was done the battery charged fine, it held it charge really well. i cant speak on longevity so if any issues i shall edit the review however, so far its good value for money.

If your macbook battery has died, you'll have probably asked for quotes which will no doubt be super expensive. Doing it yourself is much cheaper, and if you're not much of a DIY electronics person, then it will take you 3 hours max if you're doing everything nice and slowly and carefully. Simply whip up a nice long youtube video, I'd recommend one where they do all the motions and you can follow along with every step and pause and play as you need. I'd recommend watching a quick summary video first so you have an idea of the total process first though. Removing the old battery is by far the most difficult part as it's really stuck on. BE AWARE that batteries can be dangerous. Do NOT simply tug as hard as you can to remove the old battery, because any damage to the battery can potentially cause it to set on fire or explode. I was a little bit careless at one point and the old battery started smoking. You must use the included cards to scrape away at the adhesive. This battery slots in nicely and has stickers for keeping the battery in place. The included screwdrivers are all that you will need, so it's a nice little set that has everything to get you going! Overall, I think it's a very good kit and is much cheaper than getting a shop to change the battery for you. Would highly recommend!

This battery has been a quality replacement for my MacBook Pro 2017. The install was a bear but that is not the fault of the battery, that is all on apple. On the plus side the way this battery was constructed I was able to install it in a way where I did not have to remove the main board. Huge time savings Replacing this battery is a very delicate operation and should not be attempted by anyone without a solid experience in disassembly of Apple laptops. IF you do attempt is go slow and have lots of patience and caution.

My wife's MacBook still had a lot to give in my opinion, it was simply the battery that was the problem. The price that Apple wanted to replace the battery wasn't worth the value of the MacBook itself. Fitting the replacement battery was straight forward. The included instructions are simple to understand and follow. The included tools make fitting even quicker. I will keep the review updated with the longevity of the battery.

Nach guten Rezessionen den Akku gekauft. Schneller Versand, einbauen lassen, funktioniert alles einwandfrei. Jetzt, 6 Monate später, wird der Akku nicht mehr vom System erkannt. War einige Wochen in Reha, scheinbar hat er sich in dieser Zeit tiefentladen und funktioniert nicht mehr. Alle versuche den Akku zu reaktivieren sind gescheitert. Update: Nach Reklamation wurde mir direkt ein neuer Akku zugeschickt. Dieser funktioniert bisher einwandfrei.

Dopo qualche giorno di utilizzo non segnalo alcun problema. La batteria segna, a seconda dell’utilizzo, dalle 3 alle 6 ore di autonomia (che è coerente con quanto dichiarato). La batteria originale Apple dovrebbe durare qualcosina in più ma a fronte dei 230€ che mi hanno chiesto in Apple store direi che possono tenersele e farne collezione. Acquisto assolutamente consigliato. Sostituzione non adatta a chi non ha un minimo di esperienza ma ci sono vari tutorial validi su YouTube, quindi chiunque, seguendo alla lettera le istruzioni contenute all’interno del pacco con la batteria, più tutorial video, riuscirebbe nell’intento. Non posso giudicare il comportamento che avrà la batteria da qui a qualche tempo perché l’ho installata da pochissimo, ma è garantita per 500 cicli, vediamo. Al limite ne acquisterò un’altra.
