I have a die cutting/embossing machine, but have had issues when the die is too thin. They say, use a paper shim. Well, let me tell you, making Christmas cards last year, the paper shim got jammed and I had to take the entire machine apart to get it out. Fortunately, I was able to put it back together. Bottom line, these metal shims work like a dream! I have used 2 thicknesses so far, more will be used later. Different paper thicknesses and die thicknesses will necessitate that. Comes as a slightly oiled single stack of shims with thicknesses marked in ink on the shim. Some of the thickness are difficult to read, but you can figure them out. I used them to shim a rifle modification. They are exactly as advertised and pictured. There is a chance that there may be minor edge dings on some of the sheets.
