Very effective to block rodents
Great product, Since I put it into gaps in siding, we have had no further issues with mice. Very easy to apply. Make sure you wear gloves to keep shards of metal from puncturing skin.

Rv and household use
Got this to button up spaces and where mice and rats can get into the RV. I like it. Itโs in a roll and you can cut it to specific size. I love the tool and the gloves in there and the scissors so itโs a specific scissor. You donโt have to ruin house scissors value for the money is great. Itโs durable easy to use And weโll cut down on the mice. Easy to store products and use of gloves and scissors will come in handy later down the road.

The perfect solution to stop rodents!
This is the best product I've found to stop rodents. I originally watched my pest company install it at my house. It's been on my house for several years now and is holding up great (since the metal component is stainless steel). I've purchased it several times to solve rodent problems other places. It easily molds to fit the hole you are filling and stays in place. Works great in large holes and smaller cracks alike. Note: Be sure to wear eye protection and gloves to protect from metal bits when cutting it and stuffing holes. The included scissor worked for a few cuts and then failed. If you are installing lots of this stuff I recommend using a sheet metal sheer (about $10) as it cuts well and doesn't dull. A large flat-head screwdriver works well to pack it in the crevices.

Perfect for small openings
The only reason I give this 4 stars and not 5 is the shears that come with it do not work for very long if at all. The steel wool fabric is fantastic. We have a rat and mouse at our cabin and this product is doing exactly as advertised. I have been slowly going around with flashlight examining every square inch of the place and shoving this into every small opening I can find. I have sealed up a couple spaces that I can monitor and there is no more activity in those places. Make sure to use gloves when handling, the splinters from this are wicked!

Good to have in the arsenal
If you have spaces you want to fill, but don't want to seal, then this is a good choice. You may need to fill gaps outside in places that you don't want to seal because they need to remain permeable to water. For me I wanted to be able to fill up weep holes in the brickwork; a large gap at the bottom of my garage flashing; and some siding gaps where it meets the brick. None of those applications should be sealed up with caulk because they all need to be able to release water and to "breathe". The great thing about this product is that it will fill even large gaps well. It won't rust and it is permeable to air and water. Very few bugs or rodents are going to try to get through this stuff--it's extremely irritating and sheds 1000s of sharp little metal spikes if you even look at it sideways. Once you push it in it puffs up a little and the wool/steel combo will hold it in place very well. I'm glad I found it, it's a very versatile exclusion option for applications where you still need the opening to breathe and release water.

Should work as gasket filler on overhead garage door. Use your own gloves, cutters and safety glasses
I'm using this exclusively to pack an overhead garage door floor gasket on each end only. The chipmunk and mice like to follow along the edges of the door from inside and the garage walls on the inside. They chew up the (hollow) gasket right on its ends. I have successfully (so far...) dammed up that floor ad wall gap at the door track with carefully placed bricks and 5 spring rat traps. It seems to work but I didn't have anything to protect my new replacement door gasket and didn't want to give the critters "lunch" even if they get stopped by the traps awaiting them. Bought the Xcluder kit as I only needed a bit to stuff into the ends of the hollow gasket. What you need to know is use your own leather gloves. Something substantial. The stainless wool fractures and shreds into tiny strands and you DON'T want any of that in your hands (or elsewhere). Wear total eye protection (goggles with side seal) in case any of it blows into the air or flicks off your gloves. Also, the provided scissors are near useless. They last for 3 cuts across the roll. I made it through the few cuts I needed using a disposable/breakaway blade utility knife. But it makes more of a shredding mess. If I need to do more later, I have several tin snips that I'll try instead. Hoping that between the new gasket with the Xcluder steel/poly fabric stuffed into the ends, and the traditional traps, I'll keep the critters at bay.

Gives me peace
This is a great steel wool to keep mice and other critters out of my home. I would recommend wearing the gloves as the steel wool and feel quite sharp and piercing. It cuts easily and can be stuffed to fill those gaps and crevices the home has.

Works as described.
My superintendent was impressed by the quality of this material compared to what he usually uses, which is steel wool. Use the included gloves. The material is pointy

Chipmunk Bane!
My A/C technician was impressed with this stuff. Had it packed around refrigerant pipes to outside condenser to keep the rotten chipmunks out. Now no more seeds or shells to clean out next spring! One less hiding spot for the varmints.

Pieces of metal IN gloves.
The kit was delivered just a few minutes ago- I opened the box to go use, and the INSIDE of the gloves that are supposed to be protecting my hands are covered in stainless steel mesh bits and poly. I picked the larger metal pieces off and then thought.. this is worthy of a review because these gloves cannot be used as they are, and they are the reason I bought the kit vs the better value rolls of Xcluder product. The gloves are not packaged by themselves, and are literally right with the mesh fabric that is also wide open.
