I purchased this charger in February and have used it for a little over six weeks now. My original idea was to use it as a backup charger for my MacBook Air M1 (M1 2020) purchased last year, and possibly use it as a backup charger for my MacBook Pro 15" (Mid 2014). To enable the latter, I included a "Nylon Braided USB C to Magnetic Charging Cable Cord" in my original order with the charger. I expected that the charger would work with my MacBook Air M1, but was not sure about it working with my older MacBook Pro and it's MagSafe connector. For this function a good USB-C to MagSafe cable cord would be required. The cord I selected was a pink nylon braided cable by Yoamp, just short of 5 feet in length. Though it had few reviews, they were all positive, so I felt it was worth the risk. (Side note - I decided on pink so that it would be easy to identify and locate visually.) As expected, the charger worked very well with my MacBook Air M1, recharging the laptop a little faster than the original Apple charger. Though I don't use this charger as much as the original charger, I've have no problems when I do use it. Also, the charger never seems to get more than warm; unlike other chargers that I've read about. As for my MacBook Pro 15", I found that connecting the Yoamp cord to this charger, and then my laptop didn't seem to work - at first. However, upon further inspection, I realized that the USB-C connector needed to be pushed in a little more to created a "click" and solid connection with the charger. Once that was done everything seemed to work perfectly. In subsequent uses, the charger never seems to "heat up" though it will get slightly warm at times. Overall I'm extremely please with it in this function. In conclusion, after 6 weeks of use, this charger has performed well in a dual purpose role. As a backup charger for my MacBook Air M1 it's close to a perfect choice. As a backup for my 2014 MacBook Pro 15", I have no complaints so far. I will update this review if I discover any new characteristics or problems.

Charger came in a box with a USB-C cord. High quality product. Works great!

I was a bit hesitant to order after seeing some of the reviews here, but (so far) I'm glad I ordered it. Upon opening the package, I noticed there are two sets of US electrical outlet prongs. They must have read all the reviews of plugs falling apart and now include two sets. The fit of the prongs on my unit seems secure and there's no flexing/separating like others have mentioned. Hopefully they have fixed this (former?) problem. One thing I did notice when I removed the prongs was that the connection to the unit is the same style plug as is found on many electrical adapters. The cord shown in the attached picture is from an old radio, but I also have this style cord on laptop power bricks, video game consoles, etc. So even if the prongs were to fall apart or be lost, this option still works. As for charging, I do not own any Apple anything, however, this charges both my laptop and Pixel 6 Pro in fast charge mode without issue. If I do have any issues I will update this review. But for now I have to say this item is a great deal.

The surface laptop studio has issues that have been left unaddressed. The primary issue is that their cord has an issue charging the laptop, and so the USB-C charger is the only alternative for those who can't do a return (if you can, do it). For the most part this brick works well, particularly if used for standard office programs (aka for work or school and not more demanding applications). However, within the past 6 months I started to get a "weak charge detected". I can't say for sure if it's the brick or more issues with my laptop, but I would recommend going to a larger wattage brick than 118. My other notes: I like that the prongs fold. The brick gets really warm if playing a time waster like the sims. I purchased an Anker cord because I lost the cord that came with this, but I wasn't overly impressed with the cord received. I tend to abuse my cords and need something that will take the abuse, at least for a while.

Why buy the original oem when this item works just same? The functionality is like apple and there’s nothing else needs to be said. Don’t let these big companies take your money for something with so much simplicity

I wanted a charger to put in my backpack, so I don't have to unplug the one that's at my home desk every time I take my laptop out of the house. However, I didn't want to spend and arm and a leg on the brand name one just for this small convenience. So glad to find one that works just as well as the original that came with the computer! This product is a little bit lighter than the Apple branded charger, feels a little bit cheaper build overall. However, the mass of the original Apple charger sometimes causes mine to FALL OUT of wall outlets, especially older outlets that might not have quite as tight a connection with the device which seems kind of like it might be a borderline design flaw. This one, being so light, does not have that problem. The one thing I do notice that might be a drawback is maybe a lack of insulation material (?), which results in this product getting a little bit hotter than the Apple charger when it's plugged in. Not an issue for me at all. Overall, this checks all the boxes I need it to, the price is right, and its function actually provides some minor improvements over the Apple charger that came with my laptop, particularly the weight. 5 stars!

Stopped working after about 7-8 months. The charging box looks the same as when I bought it, no wear and tear, so there's no reason for it to stop working. Poor Quality product. I can't find out where/how to get a hold of their customer support team.
