Great pen
Probably one of the finest fountain pen I have written with that doesn't break the bank.Extra fine writing while having huge ink storage, one of the best combos ever. This pen is one of the cleanest in terms of ink refill ever, if you want a mess free pen, this one is for you.You may think that this fat pen would be awkward to write with, but actually it is quite comfortable and I can write quite nicely with it.

Great for pen and ink art
I thoroughly enjoy drawing with this pen. It is as unexpected a drawing tool as the pen body is to look at. If you want a pen to take fast class notes with, this is not the pen for you. I can write with it, but it is slower and works best with the paper placed on a slight slope and not flat on a desk. It might make a good writing tool for anyone with carpal tunnel or arthritis who can't hold a conventional pen for long, especially with a fude nib. I don't use a handwriting grip with the Q1 - I put the ball end of the pen in the curve of my palm, and my thumb and 2-3 fingers each take a position at the grip. This leaves my wrist and elbow very open, and I can make a very wide range of irregular marks, especially with a fude nib. This is the most relaxing drawing tool I have yet used, and I just love it. This pen also accepts nibs from my #6 JinHao X750, so I now have EF, F, M, and fude nibs that will work in this pen. I use the JinHao X750 when I want to use a handwriting grip for very controlled marks, and my Q1 for less controlled and open marks, especially anything scribbly. And for an eyedropper fountain pen, it hasn't ever 'burped' on me. To get it the ink flowing, I either need to dip it in water to get the capillary action going, or open the ink chamber and let more air in. After drawing with it for a bit, the ink will stop flowing until dipped in water or the more air is let in. That's the worst I have to say about this pen - and it's something I can easily live with. I now have 3 of these pens, and I store them in a tackle box with other drawing tools.

Terrible ink flow.
Bone-dry nib. Impossible to get started, and only then, writing painfully slowly. Appreciate the body and it's comfortable in hand, but the total lack of ink flow is a deal breaker in a pen.UPDATE: Tried new/better quality ink, now flows fine. Love the chunky, hefty clear body, very easy to see and refill.

Great pen, affordable price!
A great pen but like many others have said the bent nib is horrible and will cause issues so I suggest changing it if you find you're pen isn't working right despite doing everything else to try and fix it. Once I did the pen worked beautifully and has become my 2nd favorite out of my current fountain pens. I personally find chunky pens easier to use and this one especially is great when using an overhand grip due to its short size. Also holds PLENTY of ink!

A Favorite
This has become one of my favorite fountain pens. Affordable and has great ink flow. The "feedback" is excellent. And I love being able to see the ink.

cute pen + great customer service experience!
love this pen! i ordered the bent nib clear version & it came with an extra nib, medium point i believe. the extra nib worked perfectly but the bent nib was defective and ink would not flow (i believe the slit was too wide,) but i was able to contact the seller and they were kind enough to send me a new bent nib, along with an extra feed as well. so great costumer service! it’s a super cute pen that holds a HUGE amount of ink! the bent nib is definitely a bit thicker than my sailor fude tip pen, it’s thicker & more rounded at the end comparatively, and it’s not quite as high quality, but i’m still really happy with it!

Good pen but they sent wrong size nib, I ordered medium, received fine
Flow of ink is great… of course I ordered a medium nib and got a fine nib so I wish the flow had a bit more spread than what I ordered had.The pen is a good weight and comfortable to use but I really wanted a thicker line for my shading inks than what I got. And unfortunately I’d already cleaned out the test ink from the nib and inked up my pen with my newest teal shading ink.

Fun little pen, flawless writing
Updating my review to 5 stars out of 5. I've been using this as my daily writer for 2 months. I carry it in my pants pocket, or in my white handbag, and it has never leaked. I even dropped it (capped) on the ground and it didn't break. The pen comes apart completely for cleaning and I was able to clean every piece of it when switching inks from brown to blue and then to green. I was worried about flow issues with extended writing but haven't actually encountered any, even when taking vigorous notes in meetings.I absolutely love this pen and I'm buying another so I can loan this one out from time to time.---Original review:It's a fun little pen! It holds a lot of ink, and writes smoothly and evenly. However, I noticed some lightening/fading after a few lines of text. You can see it in the picture: the line starts dark and bold with opaque ink, and ends feathery with the ink translucent. To me, this means the nib can't keep up with the ink flow, and may eventually lead to skipping. The nib has a small amount of give or flex, but not very noticeable unless you press very hard. Filling the pen with ink with the eyedropper was easy and straightforward. The pen feels really big and chunky in the hand, but comfortable, and fun -- so different than my other fountain pens. I believe the body is resin and the section (place where your fingers go) is acrylic. I wish it were all resin but what can ya do.Overall:Pros:- Fun, different, notable- Inexpensive- Large ink reservoir- Easy to fill- Resin qualityCons:- Ink flow issues possible- Acrylic section
