Optics

Awefull. Really poor writting. I don't know why so many people recommend this book. I feel like I wasted money on this. Every chapter is unnecessarily long and boring ruining the learning process.I would rather advice Fundamental of Optics by Jenkins and White. I found this in college library and it's lot better.

One of the best books for optics in market. Though it's not the easiest one to understand. I wish it was written in a more basic level with more solved problems. If you're basics are clear then go for this books.

Great book it contains good content but please improve paper quality..I am In class 12th, I prepare for jee advance, I study book like engerining mathematics, by bs gerwal, quantum, mechanics, by satya praksh, and optics by ajoy ghatak, and other Msc level book because I have lot of interest in physics and mathematics so any student who preparing for jee mains and advance will prefer these books for great knowledge..

I’m very disappointed by purchasing this book. The subject it is in account is “Optics” that means it must have many images(which it has) but not coloured. Some black and white pictures are literally damn blurred to even understand the concept. Although I liked the content but the price which we pay deserves the book to be coloured. The S. Chand book on optics is completely coloured and covers similar topics.

Great book to learn more about optics with its complete mathematical approach. Can be pretty tough to understand for beginners with no prior knowledge on mathematical methods

This books covers a wide area of content in optics. Apart from that the literature of books of ajoy ghatak sir are truly fascinating and makes it easy to grasp the concepts. You must have it in your collection. It also covers many other parts of physics other than optics. The most wonderful feature I found was the book has vast amount of refrences about research papers on optics and related topic.

I loved the book, but Amazon sold an old book to me. I don't have any complaint about the book content.The book content is awesome . 5 star for books but -1 star for sending an old book.

By the way i don't order books from indian writer.reason you all guys know.but after this book i think indian writers can also write some good books on science. Go for it guys
