Not a Fun Read
POSSIBLE SPOILER: I'm not sure I want to continue with the series. I loved books 1 through 7, and have gotten used to the stories' loose ends not getting tied up. But the end of this book is one of hopelessness; I don't know that I want to read more. It has stopped being fun, and whereas I laughed a bunch reading the previous books (esp. book #7), I have not laughed at all reading book #8.

A good book for junior high age.
I've read this author's books before, and if I'd realized that I wouldn't have purchased it. It was okay, but not my personal taste in reading.

Excellent mystery with an interesting narrator
An excellent mystery novel with intriguing characters and bits of history added. The narrator is a young woman recently returned to England from Canada. She very quickly faces family challenges and discovers a very unusual corpse.

I have been a fan of the Flavia de Luce series of books since first encountering them last year. However, "Thrice the Brinded Cat..." is particularly good. I really enloyrd this read.
