Enjoyable if you can get beyond 'the improbable '
Like any good action book or film there are a few 'really' moments where you think no one could possibly do all that on their own - or could they!I enjoy an action thriller and most certainly enjoyed the first two books in this set. I wonder how long many books it will take to get to the truth. Will I stick with it, or will I get fed up waiting? ...........

Another Good Book, Ordered Number Three !
Downburst, number 2 in the Rachel Hatch Series from L T Ryan.An address scribbled on a piece of paper leads Rachel Hatch to New Mexico. It's the only lead she has in the two-decade old mystery shrouding her father's death. It should be a simple in-and-out investigation, but her plans change when she finds herself in the cross hairs of a local gang. She could cut and run, but her actions have put a family in danger. And Hatch is the only one willing to protect them. Hatch gets more than she bargained for when she realises danger comes from all sides. Her cunning and skills can save her and the family. If she doesn't run out of time first.Exposing corruption at the highest levels of local government while ending the stranglehold on a small town by a local biker gang is Hatch's ultimate goal while trying to find answers to her father's death and the scribbled note.I really felt the atmosphere, the ghost town, the desert, the secrets, the good people, the nasty villains, bikers.Rachel Hatch is a great character , tough in some ways but not invisible, sometimes too soft for her own good.Well paced, good action, gripping and tense. Rachel Hatch must learn one thing (authors) never leave someone behind alive, they come back !!Four stars. Just ordered number three in the series...

Jack Reacher changes sex
The paralells to Jack Reacher and this series are so obvious it spoils the enjoyment of readingEx military - tickEx military police - tickDrifts into town sorts out wrongs and then drifts out again - tickGood in a fight - tickCall me by my last name - tickLT Ryan is not the only one to jump on the Lee Child bandwagon though, David Baldacci did it very similarly with John Puller books (Jack Reacher - John Puller, even the name isn't orginal)I have really enjoyed many of LT's other books and she's a great writer, if I hadnt read the Reacher series these would be enjoyable but sadly these are just a copy

Good read
As good as the first book, however there is little mystery and no plot twists. Plot is predictable, and main character acts emotionally and recklessly, even though she is a highly trained special forces soldier. An OK read to pass the time

Enthralling.
Hatch is relentless in her search for answers and the action never stops. She takes no prisoners and focuses on the answers she seeks no matter where it takes her.

Downburst
A fast moving thriller that kept you from putting book down. Different from my usual detective thrillers with a different twist. Most enjoyable.

Absolutely brilliant
I love both of these Rachel Hatch books. I was gripped from the beginning. The storyline and the characters were identifiable and not too farfetched. As some can be. I'm definitely hooked now and want to read more of Hatch and her adventures.
