swan 6.5 slow cooker
I received my slow cooker on time, I made a good decision buying the 6.5 litre slow cooker, can cook stews, casseroles ,soups , etc. I now enjoy preparing and cooking with the slow cooker. The end result is the best as the flavours are delicious as slow cooking usually is. My teenage son even enjoys my cooking now!!!The slow cooker is very straight forward to use no complicated instructions, good for large families or busy workers.I have left the slow cooker on the lowest setting and left for 8 or 9 hours and didn't burn at all and the food very tasty.

Little preparation to get meals done, ready when you get home from work.
Brought product on advice from friend, quick preparation of ingredients eg meat, potatoes and other vegetables. Add stock cube and about a cup of water and leave, slow cooker does the rest. Have personally found cooker performs better on slow heat, meat is more tender and chicken just falls off the bone and is full of flavour compared to the auto setting. Being a typical male I was concerned cooker could boil dry, but no problems at all. The outer stainless steel case is easy to clean with a damp cloth or antibacterial wipe and the inner ceramic pot I just leave to soak and comes up clean, the inner ceramic pot can also be used in a conventional oven, which is also handy. Only purchased the 1:5 L slow cooker and get two meals easily being a single person.

WOW! A great way to cook meals from scratch.
Upon reading and hearing so much about slow cookers, at long last I decided to buy one as the 1.5 litre is sufficient to make a meal for one person.WOW! It's a great way to cook meals from scratch, which I love! Also, it's a necessity for me because of my medical limitations. My cooking experiments are ongoing and, so far, the results have surpassed my personal expectations! Meat and vegetables come out beautifully melt-in-the-mouth tender, tasty and satisfying. All this without the fuss and worry of pot-watching/conventional cooking.I am so pleased and impressed with this product that I am considering buying the next size up!

Ideal for students
I've made a few things that I would normally make in a larger slow cooker to test the functionality of the cooker with it only being a 1.5l, and it's great! The auto function in particular is really handy for giving it a blast on high then turning it to low automatically. A full pot will easily give you 2 servings of whatever you're making with some left over, so it's great for me being a student. I'd recommend it to anyone wanting a slow cooker to feed themselves or to make small portions of food with.

Very very disapointed - badly fitting lid see video
Very disappointed with such a big brand product. Lid is a very poor fit and I did not notice until I came to put it on for cooking. Why would I check the product first - it's a Swan, a big brand product. Happy to review again if replacement lid sent as this could be a fault in production. As it stands, I cannot trust it not to boil dry over long periods of cooking as quite clearly a lot of steam and moisture can escape. Has put me off buying products like this again online.
