ASICS Women's Gel-Excite 6 Running Shoes

My work is casual wear so I prefer sneakers to heels or boots. They took about a week to stretch out but now they are perfect and the sizing was just right. The colors are as seen in the pictures, but I have already mucked them up from how much they get used. (Been about 3 months now). I don't really know how well they would do for running since I just use them for everyday wear, but by the end of day I don't have an immediate need to throw them off since they are so comfortable. My feet are pretty normal, so I don't know how they would feel on someone with wide soles.

I have had so many pairs of Aasics over the years. They seem to be the only ones that are comfortable. I’ve been frustrated with the garish colors they’ve had the past few years. FINALLY they had a more subdued color combo choice that I wouldn’t feel like a clown when wearing them.I understand some of the bright neon combos for runners but a lot of us need them for everyday use… colors that look fine with jeans or pants that complement or blend into the clothes. Please know I’m an avid fan and faithful consumer of their products. See attached photos… YES all pairs are Aasics! And I bought a second pair of these in case I can’t get anymore that work for everyday casual wear.

This shoe is perfect for running, walking, and working out. Asics are a great brand for wide feet and feet with high arches and bunyans. The color combo on this shoe is also so pretty and vibrant.

I am usually a shoe size 7.5, which is what I bought. I have high arches and plantar fasciatis. I bought these shoes for the gym for using mostly on cardio machines. My feet often go numb when I am using the machines like elliptical, so I need roomy shoes and I re-lace them to avoid pressing on the top of my foot. These shoes do not exactly fit the bill.First, the shoes are tight. I understand they are supposed to be for running but the toes simply have no room. The toe section is not wide, nor is it long. The sole presses the foot slightly forward so my big toe is right up against the toe of the shoe. Also the top fabric is tight so my big toe presses up into the fabric. (The fabric is also very breathable, it's in layers but I don't know how long it will last before my big toe presses through the fabric).Second, the arch support is quite good and supportive, it has a thick gel footbed which seems to conform to any arch, including my very high arches. I think it would also work well for even low arches. However, the sole is thick so don't expect to have extra room to insert your own sole. It is bouncy but on a slant with a slightly raised heel, pushing you forward. With the thick footbed, it also does not provide any extra room for the top of my foot to be "free" (so it won't go numb). Even though I changed the laces, my feet are still going numb after 15-20 minutes on the elliptical (vs. 30 or more with other shoes).Overall, I can't make up my mind. I do like the gel footbed but I may return the shoes because they just don't seem to live up to Asics' quality. Maybe I should order a half size up, but honestly I shouldn't have to.

They are super comfortable and the colour is great too. Love it!!!

Este modelo no tiene mucho soporte. Siento que no está pensado para correr, realmente, sino para ser cómodo para alguien que camina o esta de pie todo el día. La suela exterior no es igual de "dura" que otros modelos de Asic, la parte Blanca es toda del mismo material de foam. El zapato blanco con negro es este modelo, el rosa es el GT 3000 como comparación del soporte que le hace falta al gel excite 6. El GT 3000 también tiene soporte adicional en la parte del talón, pero el colchón de gel interior me lastima el tendon de aquiles. El mismo colchón en el GE6 es más reducido en altura y grosor, que es la razón por la que lo elegí.

I can’t believe how fast the product got here! I am so impressed. The shoes are so comfortable. I walked more than 10K kms with my last “ASICs Gel-Equations”. While I couldn’t find the same ones, these looked very close to the same. ~ I was right.I will definitely be buying these again.. in another 10K?? :)

This is a lovely mid-price shoe. It's got enough swoop to go nice with capris and tees, and it's a sturdy sport shoe as well. I have foot issues, so I throw in my $$$ insoles and it's good for light jogging and walking (no marathons, ugh, why would I do that to my poor arches and heels?).
