First inflated the ball so it fit semi snug in the netting so when he played with it, it was fairly easy to get the carrots (started using a few full size carrots and now use lots of mini carrots). I just used a bicycle pump to inflate the ball more so it fits more snug in the netting and now it takes him longer to get the carrots.
