I had one of these thumb pianos years ago that cost much more than this one. But this instrument is far superior in tone and quality. The wood work is gorgeous, the tone is top notch, and it even comes with a tuning hammer and an instrument bag that is well sewn and impressive at this price.I like keeping my instrument on a side table, though, for friends to spot and play on a whim. And at this price, if a child breaks it, it won't be a huge expense to replace it.I love it!

It's easy to play and fun. The sound it makes is beautiful. Well made. I bought several more for gifts. They were a big hit!

My husband's a musician and loves collecting instruments. So, I got him this as a surprise gift since he didn't have a Kalimba already, despite wanting one for years. He loved the color and learned how to play it immediately. He claimed he won't need any other kalimba, as this is his favorite, but I think that's the romance talking, I'm sure he'll collect more later (lol). I can't judge for quality, since I'm not the musician, but it made us both very happy. Thank you!

This is a lovely little mini kalimba. 8 keys, Notes are from left to right: A6°, E3°, C1°, G5, A6, D2°, G5°, C1°°So not in a conventional arrangement. The lowest note in the center is G5. I'm happy with this little kalimba, as it provides lots of improvising. The sound is very quiet, the keys are comfortable, and it is easy to glide your nails over them. The wood is mahogany, with a nice design of what appears to be a half a sunflower. Half as it's a very tiny instrument. It's sturdy and well made. You may have to straighten the keys a bit, and check that it's in tune. Mine was. It comes with a tuning hammer, but no case. I took off one star, as I think they could have provided at least a soft case with it.

This Kalimba Thumb piano is made of beautiful wood, comes with everything you need and is so easy to learn and play. Just flip a key with your thumbs and get beautiful music. I purchased a couple inexpensive song books from Amazon to go with it, and was playing songs on day one. Highly recommend it for anyone who wants a new hobby or a way to pass time.

Looking for a great last minute talent to perform in a talent show? Look no further! I was googling talents for the talentless and got nowhere. After much research and heartbreak looking at prices, I found the kalimba. YouTube had me entranced in its sound and I just had to buy one! This kalimba was a little pricier than others, but I bought it because of the pattern, the color of the wood, and it had a cute case for traveling. It came on time and in perfect condition, came with stickers to help illuminate your notes (or highlight the more important ones), a book of easy songs, and a tuning hammer. The great thing about the kalimba is that nobody knows about it, literally anyone can play it, and it’s relatively cheap. I learned and wrote up my song medley 2 weeks before the show, and although the nerves got the best of me so I didn’t play perfectly, everyone was excited for something new, and everyone knew exactly what songs I was trying to replicate. I only gave it 4 stars because unfortunately when trying to tune it I ended up with 2 dead tines. I don’t know if it was my fault or a manufacturing mistake. Fortunately, I was able to borrow another kalimba from a friend just before the show

The kalimba came almost tuned correctly, I downloaded the recommended app to tune it and it was almost perfectly tuned. Some keys are a little stiff but that's from not being played. The more you play it, the more the keys will loosen up and be easier to play. Honestly you don't really need to know any keys to make a good melody, you can kind of just strum it the way you please and it sounds beautiful. This one comes with a travel case, and a bag for your tools and thumb covers. Which was a plus because I thought it just came with the case

These were ordered for stocking stuffers. I have a number of Grands that I like to treat at Christmas and they are no long young children. The whole family will enjoy these musical treats.
