TV cable signal, sounds ok; home video game consoles, sounds ok; but when it come to the native apps like netflix, youTube, Amazon Prime Video... that's when this thing gets ugly.... all I get is a horrible screech all the time... the only solution is to disconnect the device and use the normal speakers from the TV. didn't liek that at all. I don't want to have turned on the tv, this thing, the home theater AND another device in order to watch a Netflix movie if I have a functional app installed on my TV. Truly the horrible noise that it makes made me put it back on the box and put it on my closet. I used it 3 times and that was it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Work's great as long as your digital input is not in surround mode. *by J***K on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on February 7, 2017* I bought this to attempt to handle the audio output from an LG Plasma TV, as it only had digital out.It works great using a Roku Box or a DVD player both connected via HDMI to the TV, or even a VHS player connected via RCA R/L cables.The only place it fails is when using the TV's internal Digital tuner for Over the Air Digital broadcasts.The TV does not have any option to change the output type to PCM or anything else.It is not this product's fault that most of the Over the Air Channels in my area are broadcast in 5.1 surround now. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Does its job but needs to stay on all the time, no idle mode *by D***K on Reviewed in the United States 🇺🇸 on January 18, 2018* Did it's job perfectly.
