I planned on cutting it in half but it’s much harder than I thought. At least it’s tough as granite!

Edges are actually very sharp (may not be an issue for a turtle, but could be for my python). Used a dremel to round them a little better. Doesn't matter what kind of pet it’s for, I think there’s no reason it should be sent with pointy sharp edges.

My beardie absolutely loves to bask on the slate. Works perfectly for basking, heats nicely, and looks nice!

We used to put our tortoises’ food on a little plastic plate for easier cleanup. This is much better. We can still keep his food separate from the wood chips but it blends in better with his environment and provides him with easy access.

This slate worked out great for the top of my bearded dragons basking platform! (we used greystone blocks from home depot to support underneath it), its a pretty thin piece of slate but sturdy and holds in heat well, so far she seems to like it. For size comparison she's a 9 month old beardie and the 40x25CM was perfect for her temporary 40 gallon tank. I will be re using the same one again in another tank once we upgrade her to a 4x2x2. ❤️

This is a great size for our Bearded Dragon and Russian Tortoise enclosures. They fit perfectly to place their greens on and help file their nails at the same time! Sent nicely packaged so it wouldn’t break in transit.

The media could not be loaded.  We use this to serve our tortoise her food so her beak stays trim. Super cute, like a tortoise charcuterie board. She likes it just fine.
