Ooly Stars of the Sea Chunky Crayons for Toddlers - Star Shaped, Easy to Hold, Non-Toxic Set of 8

Easy to hold for small hands. I got these for my 1 year old and he loved them. Easy way to get them to understand the concept of coloring. I thought they were going to be super waxy and not have a lot of pigment but they weren’t bad.

Not very good crayons, but they last forever. They still look brand new.

My daughter loves to throw a ball, so egg shaped toddler crayons were a no go for us...she would think it’s time for pitching practice. These are easy to hold and the colors are pretty pigmented. I also like that they can’t roll off the table. Only downside I have seen is there is no black or brown crayon. It’s not a huge deal…just can’t accurately color the “brown” page in the “color names” section of my daughters coloring book. The points of the stars provide quite a bit of accuracy with coloring thin lines. The crayons don’t seem to be wearing down and running out quickly, so they should last a while.

My son loves to throw his crayons when he gets tired of coloring. I was getting tired of his crayons breaking, even the jumbo ones kept breaking. So far, he has yet to break any of these stars despite throwing them almost daily for a few months. My only complaint is that these are not washable but luckily, he's been pretty receptive to only being allowed to color on paper. I'm planning to buy a second set to pack in the diaper bag for when we eat it. The other thing I really like about these crayons is that you don't have to press hard to get color onto the page. We bought the Ooly Left Right crayons but you have to push down hard to get marks, something a little tricky for my two year old.

My baby loves these. She currently loves stars, these go with her everywhere. She’s been learning to scribble, I’d say for hand control these are great but she has to put more pressure than with crayola brand. I recommend putting them away from dogs. My dog seems to like eating them if left out and about.

My toddler grandson loves to color and he loves sea creatures. These made a cute gift for him. They seem to be holding up well with vigorous coloring.

Not washable crayons. If you are okay with your table being stained go ahead and buy. I didn't even know crayons could stain. Even after using Clorox wipes and magic eraser my table is still stained from these. But they are cute and easy to hold for my 15 month old.

I can’t say enough about these crayons. The shape of them results in a perfect grip no matter how absentmindedly your kid grabs them. Also the tips of the stars allow for somewhat precise coloring as opposed to the larger egg shaped toddler crayons. The quality of color and smoothness of the crayons was a pleasant surprise to as well. They are cute and very easy to pack along. Perfectly sized, perfect all around. We are obsessed.
