Great collar if used correctly!
I've used these before and they csn be very effective if used properly. I have a German shepherd/Tibetan mastiff mix that has incredible pulling strength and is a little reactive at the moment, once she got used to it this collar let me be bale to walk her again and work on training without her ripping the leash out of my hands if she saw something. Prong caps are easy to put on and help keep her neck protected, the prongs are always harder to squeeze together but my bf managed. You do not need to pull on the leash at all, as soon a she gets to the end it'll tighten and she will pull back on her own I csn walk her loose-leash now and made a huge diference. I picked this particular style because of the fabric clippable part at the back, makes getting on and off alot easier as they don't like the prongs going over the head/ears etc.

Great Prong Collar
I had bought both the large and medium size collars for two Goldens. Overall, the collar is a very good quality, it retracts appropriatly, and the latch is metal vs. plastic for extra security. The prong links are very sturdy and not too difficult to remove/add, however, they are big and thick. This collar might be too heavy or uncomfortable If you have a small or light weight dog.

Great collar - German Shepherds
Purchased for my 2 80lb German Shepherds. Got mediums for them both and they fit great, with room to loosen with the extensions provided. I love the clasp, great alternative to manually taking apart the prongs like the old style. I’m using the rubber prong covers for both dogs and still getting great results and control. Extremely happy with the collars, no issues with rubbing or painful pinches, just contact and pressure when needed.

Heavy duty but soft touch for larger dogs
This prong collar is bigger than the Herm Sprenger collar I received when I was paired with my trained service dog. I had to quit using it because my service dog quit tolerating the smaller prongs, even with the addition of rubber tips. I read in previous reviews that this was a larger collar but I needed a good collar for my Labrador retriever, who is around 60 lbs. I really like this collar because it doesn't have a chain for the martingale but has a strap that doesn't make any noise. I really like the metaI clip that can be adjusted so that the collar is easily slipped over the head and fastened. Much easier than the clip for the other prong collar. It also has two D-rings to clip the leash to. It is difficult to add links to it but it only has to be done once for a grown dog. I did a paracord weave over it in nice colors so that it wouldn't be obvious it was a prong caller because some people take offense to those. However, my service dog was well-trained before she was put into a prong collar and requires very little pressure for correction. In fact, it comes with rubber tips, but the the ends of the prongs are so round and thick that after activating the collar on my own arm several times, I had no irritation. I didn't think she would have a problem with them and she doesn't. When I put on her service dog gear, she happily lets me put on this collar.

Bulky for smaller dogs.
If your dog is 30 pounds of less or has slim neck I'd try something else. The collar is solid and functional but they sell for small dogs and it's just too thick and massive for small necks.

Great Quality
Was surprised when I received this to see that it was so well made. The metal latch was stronger than I expected. The reflective stitching is thick enough that it reflects very well. The metal prongs are strong and easy to manipulate (as with any prong collar, they sometimes get tangled). And, the icing on the cake, the hot pink with reflective silver stitching matches her hot pink and reflective silver non-fabric regular collar perfectly!!!! Bottom line, WELL WORTH BUYING and WOULD BUY IT AGAIN!

Does not release
While the materials are fine, the metal loop that the nylon band rings through is too small and the band does NOT move freely through. This means that the "pinch" works but the tension on the collar does not release. This is a big problem and I am returning it for this.

Prongs size
The prongs on this collar may be suitable for a large dog but are way too big - making the collar too heavy for a golden doodle.
