It's rusting. The screen is rusting. Stainless should not rust. I don't think it is stainless. I would not have bought it. If you don't mind rust it functions as it should.

The screen completely rusted through because it was made of low grade stainless steel. Highly recommend buying a cover due to the low grade stainless steel. Hopefully the manufacturer upgrades the stainless steel quality, because it should last a lot longer than a 18 months.

My screen arrived on the day promised. I'm extremely pleased with the screen. The ribs are made from polished stainless steel. Beautiful heavy grade mesh screen. Handles welded on solid. After reading the reviews for the less expensive screens I decided that "you get what you pay for" and decided to go for a little more pricesy - glad I did. I paid a little more and received much more. I think very fitting to this product is that if I were to put this in a yard sale someone would look at it and say "look at that - great quality - they just don't build them like that anymore" -- well actually they do. I highly recommend this screen. The picture on the website is very acurate. My screen came with a very nice poker for stirring the fire wood. Also beautifully made - Thank You !!I'm giving this screen a well deserved 5 stars.

Maybe i got a wonky version, it happens, but the firepit screen i received wasn't round. When closed it just looked wrong on my Breeo Firepit, had more of an egg or eye shape. It really did the opposite of complementing the Breeo so it had to go. Mine also had alot of bubbly mesh issues, you could see areas that bulged out therefore losing it's round contour look.Otherwise the quality was nice and the metal finish was good. Opened and closed well.

I bought this because we've been through a few others and they had either rusted or burnt through. However, stainless steel is excellent against those elements and so far so good. That being said, it's slightly small ( by an or fraction) because it's meant to sit on the top flat edge of a fire pit, which ours isn't--it's curved. The cover sinks in a bit, but definitely works to protect. This is my reason for a 4 versus 5 star rating.

I haven't had a chance to use it yet. The frame is sturdy and seems well built, and I believe it will work very well for my firepit. I like the fact that it is easy open and close to add more logs..
