A Must & Works Perfectly
Make sure you opt for the latest version of the Sabrent Hard Drive Disc Dock. The USB “C” version is the latest. The unit works perfectly. It recognized the 2TB target drive immediately. I used the dock to clone my PC C Drive. Now, if my C Drive crashes or locks up I only have to swap out the drives and I’m up and running. You can also copy from one drive to another off line - simple as pressing a button. I keep all my personal files on my internal D Drive. I’ll copy those over to a backup drive soon using the Sargent Dock.

Super Convenient and Fast for My Drives
I got the SABRENT USB Type C SATA Dock to connect my 2.5” and 3.5” SATA drives externally, and it’s been fantastic. Setup was a breeze—just plug and play with no extra drivers needed. The USB-C connection makes transfers fast and stable, and it supports both SSDs and HDDs easily. I love that it can handle both sizes of drives, so I can swap them out whenever I want without hassle. The build quality feels solid and the dock holds the drives securely. I’ve used it for backups and data recovery with zero issues. If you work with multiple SATA drives or want an easy way to access old drives, this dock is super handy and reliable. Definitely recommend it!

Reasonable bay but USB-C cable provided is poor.
After using the product for a few weeks, it had a lot of problems. I determined it was the USB-C cable provided with the device. It was not reliable at all, once I swapped out the cable, the enclosure seems much more reliable. It seems SABRENT has provided a very cheap USB-C cable with the product (doesn't work well, also VERY short), so if you purchase, plan to invest in your own. I am still learning some of the controls, but it does not appear you can control the power to each drive bay separately. There is a single switch in the back that controls power to both bays. So if you want to power down a drive bay without the other, that is not possible. I have not tried the offline clone feature.

Good speed, good fit, works with two drives at once.
I've had this for a few days now, used it to transfer some data without having to keep powering my PC off/on and swapping drives. I've had no issues using it, using multiple 3.5", multiple 2.5", or mixes at the same time. Just a basic transfer in Windows 11, reading from two 3.5" HDDs in this enclosure going to a SATA 3 RAID 0, was going at 60 MB/s per drive. Going to a SATA SSD was a bit faster, but I don't remember the exact numbers. The power cable is ~5 feet, which may be a problem depending on your setup, but it's easily solved with an extension. I had no problems with stability or fit with either 2.5 or 3.5 drives, even some odd-sized ones that I pulled from old external drives. I will say to make sure you eject the device through your OS when possible, and don't pull mechanical drives without giving them time to spin down first. I saw some reviews before I got this saying that only one drive was accessible. If that's the case for you, you may want to swap the drives in the bays of the enclosure to see if the same one is visible, and check your disk management software to make sure your disk is mounted/initialized.

Recovered disk contents from dead system
Worked flawlessly, needed to recover Mac encrypted drive from a dead MacPro. Able to directly connect to my MacBook Pro laptop and copy to new portable drive.

GREAT product! Fast and reliable when used with a variety of drives.
GREAT product! I should have purchased this years ago! This worked like a champ. I was able to drop in a variety of drives and read/write to/from them. The speeds were fast and I had no errors or problems.

Great Cloner & HDD Utility Device But Not a Good Dock
I have a previous model and was happy with it. I bought the newer model because it claimed to work with larger HDDs, which it does. It may be my expectations, but, while it works great for most tasks, it doesn't work as a longer term HDD docking station. When docked for a few days or weeks, the computer loses contact with the drives and if consistently reattached then it eventually corrupts the data and can't find the docked drives at all even with a reboot of the computer and/or the device. To fix the drives I had to run Chkdsk/f from the command line which worked great both times they were corrupted. The corruption was minor in the sense that it was only corruption of the internal indexing and was easily and quickly fixed with Chkdsk/f with no data loss or corruption. But it was not minor in the sense that it rendered the disks completely unusable and unfindable by Win11. So, I highly recommend this docking stating for routine HDD maintenance, cloning, copying, file transfer, etc. but not for docking for any length of time.

Works well but not very solid build quality
2 old SATA HDD drives installed and connected to 2021 MacBook Pro 16" via Lazer Thunderbolt dock. Works well with transfer speeds expected for SATA drives - 6GB Time Machine backup was completed in about an hour. There's some play in the HDD connection even when fully seated, and I'm not sure I'd want to keep taking the drives in and out as it would be easy to damage. Overall build quality is light, almost flimsy, but since I'll be leaving the drives in situ, it shouldn't get much wear and tear. Great for my intended purpose and not expensive. If you're looking for a robust unit that you can regularly swap drives in and out of, this might not last.

Power Supply
This is a reliable product and works well at reasonably fast transfer rates. Be careful where you buy since your purchase may 'not' include the power supply for your country. Sellers only sell product as is ...
