We have several of these in our garden than still work perfectly after 15 years!
These are well made right here in the good 'ol USA out of brass and stainless steel. We bought several of these in 2010 and are still using them in 2025. They don't leak, they still connect and disconnect smoothly. What more can you expect? Granted in the past they were $12 and it came with one female and three male per pack. You could also buy male or female parts individually. Alas, prices have risen and now you have to buy a single male/female pair. No discounts, no individual parts. Still worth it, though $20 is getting near the threshhold where I start trying cheaper alternatives. I would still say these are identical to my 15 year old connectors and if they last another 15 years, then $20 won't seem so bad after all. Highly recommended!

Very nice indeed.
After using these a few months, they get 5-stars. I previously bought Nelson Brass Hose Quick Connectors that have been working well since 2011, but now their rubber seals have started to degrade. Because a Nelson o-ring, which seals the two connectors, is hard to remove without damaging the brass into which it is inset, I opted to try these Dramm ones instead. Both seal just fine, but they seal against different parts of the male connector, which is interesting from a physics point of view. These Dramms seal against the beveled end of the male connector, while the Nelsons seal with an o-ring 1/4 of the way up the male connector just before it becomes knurled. Is one sealing method better than the other? Well, if you tend to drag your hose end along the ground which will mar the end of the male connector, get the Nelsons instead, as those scratches on the end aren't near the sealing point. If you are instead careful with your brass, then these Dramms are better because the seal is easier to change, and it seals both the male connector and male hose from opposite sides. Both brands are easy to release with one hand. The Dramms are made with finer tolerances. The single washer in the Dramm quick connector is a unique part. You'll have to replace it with the exact same one, not a common hose washer. The two washers in the Nelson are a hose washer and a hard to replace o-ring that does not shoot out when using the hose at street pressure with no male connector.

Dramm 22729 Quick Disconnect
These Dramm 22729 Quick Disconnects are great! Easy to use, and they don't leak. These are kind of expensive. But they are solid brass and will last a long time. One thing I would advise when you're screwing the female connector end onto your spigot is that you install the complete unit (both male and female connector pieces) as one piece connected together. If you don't, you'll screw the female end in too far, and then the male end won't be able to make the proper connection. But once you've screwed both on as one unit and tightened the female end down (just snuggly) then you can disconnect the male end that goes on your hose from the female end that you just screwed onto your spigot, and then test it to make sure that it'll connect properly before you attach it to your hose. It should disconnect and re-connect with no problems BEFORE you attach it to your hose. If it doesn't, then you've somehow screwed the female end in too far, thus it won't connect. Then you'll have to loosen the female connector just a tad until the male connector can make the proper connection and disconnection with ease.

Quality product
This is one of those items where you get what you pay for. Worked perfectly, no leaks and solidly built. I would definitely buy from this company again.

buying one or two every time starts getting a little more painful in the wallet so having a larger "contractor" style ...
This is one of those little things that definitely make your life easier and lasts a lifetime. Other than the little gasket inside of the female end of the quick disconnect adapter there is nothing to really "wear out" - this little gadget will last a lifetime of use. I have installed them on every single hose bib I have and am using them for hoses and various other accessories. A lot of people are dissatisfied that you can't buy the pieces individually and while I can understand their concern, the truth is Dramm made a simple decision regarding packaging to make the product cost effective while at the same time not having to worry about having two separate product numbers and dealing with fluctuating inventory for a product that you only buy once and use for the lifetime. Logistically it simply makes little sense for them. My complaint is in fact the opposite - I wish they would sell a 5 or 10-unit pack so that each individual unit ends up being less expensive, because I have in fact used up 7 female ends and 10 male ends already, but when I just started using them I have used 3 female ends and 3 male ends. As you find more and more things that can be attached to make your life easier, buying one or two every time starts getting a little more painful in the wallet so having a larger "contractor" style pack (or "serious gardener pack") would have been nice. Please note, as of 2017 the real Dramm 22729 are indeed still Made in USA. However, there are counterfeits/copies being sold that look like the real thing, but aren't the real thing. The real Dramm 22729 are Made in USA and the female end of the connector (the one that screws onto the faucet) have an imprint "MADE IN U.S.A." all around the barrel of it. The knurling on both female and male part is also fairly deep and they look exactly like the picture here on Amazon as of February 2017. If you receive anything that DOES NOT look like this one or does not say "MADE IN U.S.A." and does not say "PULL TO RELEASE" then you're looking at counterfeit/copy and should demand your money back! I have bought these in local specialty stores (for nearly $22 and directly from Amazon.com as well. As of February 2017, both Amazon.com and Gatzie's were selling the real authentic Dramm 22729. I suggest you stick to those sellers (usually you can expect a price of a little over $17) unless you know for the fact that other sellers also sell the real ones.

Had purchased some other connectors but they were no match for the Dramm. Installed easy and when connected they were solid connections with no give between the 2 parts.

This USA made disconnect tap is highly recommended by the garden expert on YouTube Garden Answer. I purchased two but since it's winter I won't be able to review how well it works until spring. But I did take several photos which I hope better shows how the device works. From the single photo supplied it looks like a one-piece unit, but it'd actually a two piece unit - one end goes on the supply tap and the other on the end of the hose. It comes with a washer already placed inside - see photo.

I bought this to make the water connection to my RV to prevent leaks at the RV's connection point. This a quality product! No leaks :-)

Solid, well made quick disconnect. It does not shut off the water when disconnecting so you may want a disconnect ahead of it when changing heads, etc. I'll tell you in ten years or so if it is as well made as I think it is.

This is a very very solid quick connect for brass My only tip as oppose to complaint is be conscious of Torquing it down the rubber o ring is quite flexible and if torqued down too much the quick connects won't snap in effectively I am hoping this will not affect the product and cause leaking (hence 4 stars) regardless a better quick connect then 90% found on amazon
