Works
I needed a pump for a chiller in a 20 long tank. The pump I had was enormous & took up too much room. This was suggested to me as it can be used outside of the tank. Its working perfectly with my chiller & my axolotl is happy to have the room back in his tank.

Works as expected
I got this pump to use as a vacuum to clean debris from the bottom of my display tank and sump. It works as expected. It can be a pain to get the pump primed to actually start pulling water, but once it gets going it works well. I put a valve in front of the intake to control the suction as needed. I ran tubing from the pump into the sump to a filter sock to keep the water in the system while still removing the debris. I do this because I do not do water changes unless absolutely necessary. For the money, this is a good purchase and if the pump craps out I would buy another. I gave it 4 stars for the occasional priming difficulties. Only time will tell how long it will last.

No suction power
Simple hookup to add water to my tank. Container was on the floor and a few feet to pump the water to the tank. It would not pump despite having to suction it several time and move the container up more. If you need power or don't want to suck that hose a lot this in not the product for you!!

Very slow, very small. For very small tank ?
I needed something to help with my canister filter as I added a prefilter. This is a very small pump, low power, low capacity. It slowed my canister pump down to a trickle. Would not recommend for large tank. Might be useful in a small tank ?
