Is it a full 11 inches, or possibly just a bit less? Thanks!** A: I just measured it, and it is only one small line under 11 inches. So, basically very close to 11 inches. The inside space is 9 inches. **Q: On the 16-inch turntable what is the actual inches of space to place items?** A: It is just over 14 1/4 inches. This is a really nice turntable, I ordered two and put in my refrigerator. I hope to order another one to put in a kitchen cabinet that is hard to reach things in the back. **Q: Could this be used in a refrigerator so stuff does not get lost in the back?** A: I think so. You will need to play with weight distribution. Heavier stuff in the middle, lighter items on the outside. **Q: What is the height of the turntable** A: The base is one inch tall and the turntable has a 3/4 inch edge, so the overall height is 1 3/4 inch. The turntable is recessed down into the base so anything sitting on the turntable sits one inch above the surface the unit sits on.
