PreSonus Sceptre S8 8-inch CoActual 2-way Studio Monitor

Paid $1800+ for two of these monitors given the amazing reviews online. BOTH monitors rattle from 79hz to 40hz. They are completely useless from factory. There's no presonus retailers in western canada. I can send these anywhere for warranty due to covid-19. I dont want to have to send back brand new monitors to Quebec and wait unknown amounts of time to get them back when I pay $1800 dollars for a new product. I will never ever buy a product like this online again. I feel like I've been scammed out of 2 grand, and due to Covid-19 I cant even send these back right now. I am beyond annoyed with this and will never touch another presonus product again.

Throughout the 18 years of DJing, I have scaled from budget monitors to now these; there's nothing like this for this price (or at least what I was able to pick them up under MSRP somehow). The monitor design is not only impressive, but the performance is truly something else! Being that I was able to save so much on these, I bought an additional subwoofer and run these in 2.2 The stereo imaging on these is truly something to experience! That said, these also can absolutely DUMP at higher audio levels (but should be careful considering the paper speaker design). Since acquiring these, my mixes have had tremendously increased in the mids and highs due to how due to how amazingly wide the sweet-spot is with these monitors.

Sono un fonico e potrei scrivere una tesi di laurea sull'argomento ma proverò ad essere il più breve e conciso possibile: "They just translate." Che in gergo vuol dire che, a parità di stanza(trattata) e posizione, un mix fatto su queste non avrà bisogno di decine di revisioni. Le ho comprate nel mezzo di una produzione particolarmente ostica che non sembrava avere più fine; passavo decine di volte tra l'auto e lo studio (dotato di Focal Alpha 50) cercando di bilanciare tutto lo spettro sonoro senza successo. Ho rifatto il mix da capo con queste e, semplicemente, il primo andava già bene. Mi ci sono abituato in meno di mezza giornata. Non è magia, è il potere dei soldi ben spesi.

These monitors were worth every single penny! They are perfect in reproducing The Sound Stage, Imaging is perfect! Listening to my music is like hearing a whole new recording. I didn't think I could get the reproduction from my PC Tower that I could get from my main audio system. They are surprisingly amazing. I have an older set of PreSonus speakers and they sounded good but nothing compared to these. What an absolute treat for my ears.
