He is quite long (22-in from his nose to his butt), and weighs 12 lbs. My previous cats have not done well with traditional carriers when going to the vet. They are so mad by the time we get there that they are inconsolable and just pissed off as can be! But I think this will work very well. He was so calm as I got him into it without the help of my husband, no less. I like the security strap for "just in case" ( hooked onto his collar), and he liked having his head out. But if, at the vets, he wants to hide in his carrier, there is still room for him to pull his head in. He actually seemed to enjoy this!! I'll comment later, after we go to the vet, and give my report.Hello again. We have had a couple of visits to the vet since my first review. My kitty really likes this - it comforts him, when at the vet, to be enclosed in this bag, yet on me, as opposed to in the carrier. he burrowed inside, half the time, but peeked around the remainder of the time.
