Greenhouse - Walk in Greenhouse with 8 Sturdy Shelves and PVC Cover for Indoor or Outdoor Use - 56 x 56 x 76-Inch Green House by Pure Garden

When I first got it and put it together I was pretty happy - we used a mallet to make sure all pieces were securely inside the connectors - doing it by hand they FELT all the way in but when we used the mallet they always went in further. The mesh shelves are pretty flimsy and we definitely used extra zip ties to secure them. I also used some pieces of cardboard to reinforce them and they held my seedling trays fairly well. We set it up against the house on a concrete paver patio so there was no staking it - I had heavy garden pavers and just sat them on the bottom part of the frame inside and on the outside, sitting on top of the plastic flap. At one point we were predicted to get heavy winds (we did) and I rolled out a piece of black landscaping cloth to go over it with a bit of a “flap” at the bottom mimicking the plastic cover flaps and then sat more pavers on the flap. It still moved with the wind but it stayed put and nothing fell off shelves inside. If you need a greenhouse that won't blow away in a storm you should probably just build one. For what this is, it is as sturdy as it can be and a great price. Update: early this spring I had emptied the greenhouse and had been meaning to take it down when a big wind storm snuck up on us. It was definitely picking up the empty, unsecured green house and starting to toss it around so my son and I ran out and took the cover off so it was just the frame and then we hurriedly pulled the frame apart as much as we could and just piled it so nothing would blow away. Admittedly, it got away from me to put it away properly, so it sat there – plastic cover and pile of metal poles and mesh shelves in the Arizona sun and heat the ENTIRE summer. It is January 2022 and we have just put it back together for the 2nd year. The paint is kinda coming off the frame on our hands a little like the sun and weather broke down the clear coat but nothing is bent, rusted (yes it is Arizona but we had pretty torrential monsoon season this year so, plenty of rain) or broken! We knocked all supports in with a mallet, zip tied the shelves on the frame, This time to reinforce the flimsy mesh shelves I had some large cooling racks from the dollar store and laid those on top and zip tied those in place as well- I HIGHLY recommend doing this and wish I had thought of it last year because it added lots of stability and strength to the shelves – just make sure they are large enough to sit over the bar of the main frame when placing them. The plastic cover totally shrunk – the bottom flaps that went on the ground now just barely reached the bottom of the frame so it shrunk shorter but still fits over the frame fine and I just used hose repair tape to pull the flap tight and secure it around the bottom support, I also used this tape to repair some small rips and holes that occurred from the plastic cover sitting in a pile in the yard all summer. I’m still using pavers to secure on the concrete patio. We will not be taking it apart this year, though we will be moving it to the other side of the house and securing it to the ground differently. I do not expect this to last forever, however, for the use I have gotten out of it and until we get the yard to a place that we can build a small permanent greenhouse, and for what I have put this thing through?! I'm still super happy with the money I spent on it – at this time the price is around $80 and I got it on sale for just under $70. Also, the zipper worked fine last year but this year one side doesn't want to go past 3/4 of the way down anymore since sitting all summer. I put it together late Monday afternoon and by Friday morning it was covered in holes, many of the ties were ripped off. It is completely unsalvageable.. because of the cheaper cost of this, I didn’t expect it to last me for years and years, but I did have hopes that it would get me through the spring/summer not just 3 days. Honestly it probably had holes in it before Friday, but I worked Tuesday through Thursday 13+ hour shifts at the hospital so I did not go out and check on it when I got home late each night. I’m very disappointed, I didn’t even get to put any starters in it yet.. Also, multiple PVC pipes were disconnected with the slight movement from the wind. The stakes and string supplied were not very sturdy so we even made heavier stakes and used a lightweight rope instead of the little strings trying to tether it and protect it from the wind. It didn’t encounter any extreme weather, just some mild wind in my backyard. We have a lot of trees, a privacy fence, and on the backside of it was my horse trailer to help protect it from any additional wind. Not sure what else I could have done to protect it besides for leaving it in my garage which would defeat the whole purpose. I would like a refund, but to be honest, I’m not sure the refund is worth my time taking apart the shelving and all of the zip ties and trying to ship it back. Plus I already got rid of the box so I don’t know what to do now. I have even more photos because there were so many holes but didn’t include all of them here, I figured 14 photos would get the point across. Pros: I liked that it was very easy to put together, I did it by myself besides putting the cover on because I had my husband help so I didn’t snag or rip it by doing it alone. Directions were pretty straightforward. This would be a fine little greenhouse if you were going to leave it inside your house or garage, but definitely not sturdy enough for anywhere that has even the slightest breeze.

It is a fair size you can put 8 flats in it. The assembly was fairly easy the diagram was good and the pieces were marked. it is a cute design and fairly nice looking but it is losing 3 stars on quality. The pipes kept disconnecting while I was putting it together. I kept having to reconnect them which was annoying I am thinking I might seal them. I don't trust they will hold up in a storm. The shelves are awful. I expected them to be thin (after all this wasn't really expensive ) but they didn't fit the frames and you are given 16 neon short green zip ties to anchor 8 shelves. zip ties . Yes guys zip ties! They give you 2 per shelf. not even 4 per shelf so choose your anchor spots wisely. It was nice that they gave you green ties instead of white. White would have made them look cheap. Oh wait they were cheap. Seriously it doesn't work go out and buy some boards or more zip ties What was really disappointing was the cover. The zipper is super cheap it will be broken in a week guaranteed. I was afraid to zip it all the way it kept getting stuck and then it started separating from the plastic. Think of those plastic bags that a new comforter comes in that is what the cover of this greenhouse is like. (actually the comforter bag is thicker) The plastic is really thin and falls short . Mine is about half an inch from the ground not happy. How can I expect it to hold heat if it is not insulated . I am going to try and reposition it tomorrow As for the spikes they give you to anchor the house They are useless. super thin and only one long side it has a small curve that goes over the bars . Go out an buy real stakes or at lease 6 inch landscaping stables. For $70.00 I wasn't expecting much the shelves were not optimal but you could work around it. The cover is what kills the deal for me. I bought it to keep my plants warm till June and that cover is already ripping at the seams the first time i tried to zip it. Not good. .I would return it by I happen to have an old cover from another greenhouse that I am going to try and work on this frame Hopefully this frame can support the heavier cover. Update*** Yesterday was the first day I had the greenhouse up it was slightly windy not even a strong wind the whole thing toppled over. The Anchors that come with it are definitely useless. Today I’m putting grid walls across the bottom across the bars and rocks on top of the grid walls I ordered anchor stakes from Amazon . The two bars on the top of it just keep coming apart I made an executive decision today that I’m going to seal them together so I don’t have to worry about them coming loose anymore I’m tired of dodging them to avoid getting hit in the head and I would like to hang some baskets on them for extra space so I feel sealing them is a good idea . So add another $30 to the price of this greenhouse to buy decent anchors when you considering buying it I Had the greenhouse up for about a week now I changed my review from 2 stars to 4 . I was pleasantly surprised it is holding heat. I didn’t think it would. We had a few 30 degrees night and with a 70 dollar heater in it it has stayed at a 68 degrees temperature the days it warms up to 88 degrees sometimes but rolling up the door cools it down quickly and the Heater I have has a cooling fan that kicks in and brings it right back to 68 degrees fairly quickly I been happy with the temperature control I have. . The zipper loosened up after a few times opening it and maybe the heater expand the plastic so it seems to flow Nicely now I am not afraid of it giving away as much . It still could have been better made but it is a little sturdier than I originally gave it credit for . Gluing the top rods was a great idea no more problems with dropping poles. . if you are going to get it an anchoring system is a must what they give you is not sufficient . The zip tie shelves seem to be holding up I have a flat on each and used four zip ties in each shelf ( I added my own ties). The second shelf doesn’t get that much light so I’ve been rotating the flats and putting some flats on the floor of the greenhouse to get more light . My plants seem happy so far .

This is the second portable green house that I have bought. The first one was O-grow brand and had the green cover. The O-grow one lasted 3 years in our Dallas TX winter seasons. This is my first year with this model. They are very similar in set up and materials. thin metal poles plastic joints flimsy shelves not built to last (but let's face it, if you are buying this type of greenhouse you are looking for a long lasting solution right?) I just winter my plants in them and as you can see from the photo i have it set up on concrete on my patio. The first thing to break on my last green house were the plastic joints. The winter freezes just cause them to crack at the stress points. We ductaped the few that broke and they ended up lasting 2 more winters. I expect these will do the same as they are of the same material. the poles and shelves hold up well with only minor rusting inside. That green cover finally gave out which led me to purchase this one. I will say I like the look of the clear cover better than the green one. It also seems a bit thicker/sturdier that the green one. The cover fit over the frame but it took a warm day or two, to stretch out a bit so your could really pull it down to the ground. I secure mine with rocks from my rock garden and it is protected from wind on two sides by my house. The "tie downs" that come on this model are a joke. Don't expect to secure it by that method. A couple of heavy plants on the lower shelves and bricks or rocks around the border of the cover should do the trick. I string a set of Christmas lights in mine to create heat on nights that get below freezing you will need that if you are to keep the plants from freeze damage. But so far my plants have done well in this model over the 7 or 8 freezes we have had this year. I would buy this one again.

I’ve had this greenhouse for 10 months. In that time, it’s experienced sub-freezing to sub-Saharan conditions, dust storms, and monsoon rains and winds. Summary ----------- * Have purchased 2 (Nov/20 & Dec/20) * Easy to assemble * Made for lightweight and small pots * Plastic cover ripped while installing it on the 1st, and about a month in for 2nd * Worked great for winter * Plastic cover completely slashed up and useless after a few months (frame held strong) * Is easily tossed several feet by strong gusts of wind * Plastic connections dried up and became brittle a few weeks into summer The Full Review -------------------- I purchased the walk-in greenhouse in November of 2020. It was VERY EASY TO ASSEMBLE. Everything is labeled. I opened everything up and set up piles for each like piece. Once assembled, I walked to location. I found this as I WAS LOOKING FOR SOMETHING I COULD USE TO COVER SMALL GUAVA TREE (planted) during the winter. I figured that I could deploy over the tree and take advantage of the shelves by placing seedlings and small plotted plants that also needed winter protection. The PLASTIC RIPPED while I was SLIDING it OVER assembled FRAME. It ripped on top, essentially creating a vent. I duct-tapped it and it was fine. Reached out to the company to see if they sold a REPLACEMENT COVER, THEY DON’T. I really liked how this was holding up. We still hadn’t had freezing temps but I’d seen no issues (other than the ripped cover when setting this up), so I ordered a second hoping I could use for some other tropical potted plants and seedlings. I received the second and had not issues installing the cover. Probably the main complaint has been about the zipper so I’d been extremely careful with the zippers to both. No issues if you are careful and do slowly. Mid-January I noticed that WINDS had LIFTED THE COVER UP THE FRAME. Worried it would someday slide completely off and fly away, I TIED A BUCKET FULL OF ROCKS TO fabric LOOPS ON THE BACK of the cover (side opposite to the door). This worked great. Coming up into January, deep freeze, I had the amazing idea to NOT disturb the enclosed environment so that it could build up heat. GRAVE MISTAKE. The sun here, regardless of temperature will heat this thing up beyond livable conditions during the day. LEAVE DOORWAY OPEN during mid-morning to evening. I killed most of my potted plants and the guava tree I was attempting to protect in only 3 days. Spring WINDS TORE THE COVERS. I don’t know if the sun had eaten up the plastic or if the fabric/sewing is not high quality, but the loops where the buckets were tied to completely ripped off, taking with them large chunks of the cover. Going into summer, I was left with only frames. Most plants here do best with some sort of afternoon shade. I cut up some burlap sacks and sewed onto one of the sides. This makes the structure real easy to tip over, so have to anchor/stake it down onto ground. This worked great during the hottest days (114F) of the summer, until the monsoons came through towards the end with heavy winds and rain. This burlap and anchored setup broke the structure in half: The anchored bottom half was still in place; The top half was bent over to one side. The metal tubing was intact. The connections on this are plastic. Those had snapped. They were dry and brittle. At this point, I think I am going to replace with PVC. 1 Arizona summer is all it takes usually for “weather-proof” plastics to die here. I haven’t tried it, but I think they’d hold up better if they were painted or coated. Recommendation --------------------- I am sure that these would do great in a place with some shade and less extreme weather. For the price, these things are fantastic. I am tempted to purchase a new and try the following configuration: - Paint (white) all of the plastic connections - Not use the cover at all - Create a burlap cover for winter to protect from frost - Create a burlap ‘half-cover’ for summer that mostly blocks all direct sunlight but allows airflow - Not anchor bottom, but tie down from top bars (to prevent snapping midway up as mine did) I still have one skeleton structure that did not snap. This one is next to house, so protected from winds and get no sunlight after 10:30am. I WILL UPDATE THIS REVIEW if I end up setting the above configuration up. If success or fail, I will update if I do. I may decide to purchase a new unit, toss the cover, and test this configuration.

For the money it’s a great deal (@ $70), I put it up in a couple hours and I wasn’t rushing at all. The shelves are a little narrow, I have 10x20 flats and they only fit long way, if the shelves were a little deeper I could almost triple what I can keep in it. And still have enough room to get around. The shelves fit fine, no need for the zip ties except added strength, but you have to be sure the pipes are ALL the way into the plastic fittings or the shelves won’t fit, and you lose structural stability. the top shelf is a good height for potting and sturdy enough to hold a bucket of wet potting mix and a pitcher of water. I could carry the whole box alone, so people who are surprised when the wind blows it over are kidding them selves if they though a couple cheap tie downs was going to keep it secured in the middle of an open field 🙄 on a windy day. Mines protected on 3 sides and secured to cement and I still don’t trust it if it’s going to be super windy So far my only issue is it seems bugs can find their way into the green house but not out 😳 a couple vents on the top might solve that issue... but the bugs might not figure that out either. The cover fits better on the second day I will probably put a heat light inside if the weather gets cool to keep the frost output day 2 and I’m super happy with it

Assembly wasn't bad, I put it together alone in about 2 hours. But I have a bad back so I moved slow. Also I had to disassemble it a little because I used 2 connectors on a lower section that were needed on the top. So just really pay attention to what you are doing. The size of the greenhouse is nice. I'm not a small person by any means and I'm able to sit inside of it comfortably. I'm not going to use the supports that comes with it. I plan to use garden staples over the metal bottom and bricks to secure the plastic on the ground. I used 3 zip ties on the back of each shelf to keep them in place. I didn't secure the front of the shelves in case I need to raise a shelf for a tall plant. As with my other greenhouse units, I will use recycled cardboard on the shelves because plants just don't sit properly on the bare shelves. It's my opinion that this is a pretty sturdy unit but I haven't placed any plants in it yet so this may change tomorrow. I've used smaller versions of this in the past so I know they don't last forever. However, I have NEVER received one that had holes in the plastic before. This one has at least 2 holes in the plastic which has resulted in my taking 3 stars off the rating. The holes are all at the seams. I will add photos tomorrow because I forgot to take them today. I have a smaller greenhouse that's 2 years old and the only holes are the ones sustained when it was blown over in a storm. And the holes aren't even at the seams as this one is. I'm very disappointed but I need this right now so I don't have the liberty of sending it back and waiting on a replacement. I will just tape up the holes at this point. The rating would've been a 5 if not for the poor quality of the plastic.

Bought this to rehabilitate and keep my plants warm during the winter. I bought some mylar sheets for the floor due to the basement being really cold. Even without the mylar it does a good job at keeping the warmth and humidity. Obviously that will escape if you don’t secure the bottom flaps with something on top of it. It’s pretty spacious inside for a small greenhouse. Plan to set up the 15 gal tank to help add humidity/warmth but also to use the tank water for watering the plants (when doing water changes). If you’re a DIY type of person, i’m sure it’ll be easy to add/modify things to suit whatever you need it for. The shelve screens are pretty flimsy but using some standard zip ties will fix that. With just using extra zip ties the shelves are pretty sturdy as i have some vases with water for propagated plants. Can’t wait to add more things as I go!! I got this one used and it’s still in really good condition. Even got here a day earlier than expected!

Easy to assemble but not durable. Tie straps came off easy and one was not there from the beginning. Got to be careful in the wind.

Quede muy satisfecha con el producto, me preocupaba q con el viento pudiera salir volando o se volteara 🤭 pero incluye unas sogas para atarlo al piso, tambien incluye unas pequeñas estacas aunque yo no las utilice ya q no lo instale en tierra, es muy liviano y resistente a la vez, es facil de mover de lugar sin tener q desarmarlo o arrastrarlo , excelente compra
