We ended up cutting the strands into shorter pieces and having different length strands over the windows. We did not have any issues with tangling as some people did, but I can see that if you don't unwrap them carefully, they could easily tangle. The minus one star is because some of the stars weren't cut out completely (like whatever stamps out the paper didn't do it 100% correctly). They are also a little pricey for what they are.
