Populo is a Great Off Brand
This is my second "Populo" power tool purchase. The first was their corded rotary tool (Dremel knockoff) which I was very pleased with. So when I needed a reciprocating saw and had it narrowed down to a couple different models, I decided to go with this brand again and I'm glad I did. The quality is really nice, it has a good quality feel and it's fairly lightweight while still feeling solid. It's very ergonomic and comfortable to hold. I was also happy that it came with a 9" pruning blade which I was originally planning to buy separately! It also comes with a decent case that's quite large and could be used for other tools as well. The blades are easy to change without a key or tool, just twist and insert/remove.The only bummer is that it only comes with one battery. Some other brands had two, which is obviously ideal for switching them out if one dies mid-task, but I did see that they do sell them separately. I can't yet speak to the battery life because it hasn't died yet. I cut up one tree about 3" in diameter and it worked great. I'll update this on the battery life later if there's anything noteworthy either way. I'd highly recommend a pair of insulated gloves by the way. Nothing to do with this brand specifically, but the vibration from these saws is strong.I'll continue to buy tools from this brand, the quality and value is terrific. Although I really wish they would eliminate the wording in the product description that says "It can be used easily EVEN by women" which is incredibly insulting. But yes, EVEN me with my delicate little lady parts can use this tool. Eyeroll.

easy to use
it not take long to charge the battery after open box, easy to use, it's not very heavy to hold, cut 5 big palm tree leaves, battery still full. will update the battery life after more uses.thank you for the quick answer from POPULO, very helpful!

Great reciprocating saw for the price
I wanted a reciprocating saw for a couple projects; but after those were finished I probably won't use it again for a while. So I didn't want to pay a premium. When I saw this one and saw that it got decent reviews I decided to give it a try. It hasn't disappointed. One of the the projects was to take down several small- and medium-sized branches that were encroaching on my driveway. The saw took care of them quickly and easily. The other was to cut a few pieces of firewood down to a smaller size to fit our fire pit -- was fine for that as well. Also worth mentioning is that the battery seems very good -- I had charged it but then unplugged the charger and not used the saw for a couple weeks, and it still got me through 30 minutes of branches without a problem. One minor thing that may be a downside for some -- the blades that come with the saw are painted red, and that paint wore off on the branches/firewood as I cut -- didn't matter much to me and once it's all worn off a blade it will no longer be an issue.

Amazing for the price!
So far, this has been one tough workhorse of a saw. I was a bit nervous getting an "off" brand, but it's holding up great, has power for cutting through tough nails and metal plates. If you're on a budget, there's no need to fork over more for a "name brand". This one does just fine.

Cheap saw, replaced twice now. Don't buy
Batteries are trash and so is the saw. Used first saw once n blew a battery pack fuse (automotive fuse soldered to pack). Second saw on first use stripped out reciprocating gears

Great saw at a great price
Comes with nice selection of blades and is light enough to make it easy to work with.I'm super impressed with the battery life. I used it to trim branches on my trees for over an hour and the battery was still going strong.
