Can this be installed so that i know exact voltage at the car amplifer instead of battery voltage?

Ya it all depends where you get the power for the meter from. If you hook the red wire to the positive coming out of the amp, then you'll know what the voltage is at the amp.

What is the highest or lowest it can read?

Highest I've ran is 16.3v and it would start to flash after 16v. Heard of a couple of people having there's actually starting to smoke/burn out. What I've taken from them. They are hit or miss
