Nutley's 5 x 0.6m Aquamat Capillary Matting - White & Full-Size Seed Tray (Pack of 6)

listing says 5mtrs yet ive measured it and comes to 4 and a half mtrs not 5 rip offs I am missing 50cmsx 60cm

It's OK, but it isn't 5metres long. Mine was only 4.6m longI wanted to do 2 layers in 2 x 1.2m long trays and it wasnt long enough.

Bought this in an attempt to save my tomato plants whilst on holiday for 2 weeks. As I don't have a greenhouse, I placed the matting in the bath and soaked with water before placing the plant pots on top. 2 weeks later, the tomato plants are flourishing and there was still plenty of moisture in the mat. Hung the mat out to dry and it's now rolled up in the garage awaiting our next holiday.

Simply doesn't work. Arrived in 20 (twenty) separate pieces. Left one standing in water for 2 days, and absolutely zero capillary action. All that happened was the water turned green! Dimensions were more like 5 centimetres by 0.6 m (with all 20 pieces arranged side by side. Not even the size of A3 paper.

I wasn't convinced when I opened the packet - it didn't seem very absorbent. But I used this to keep my plants watered in the greenhouse while I was away for a few days and it does the job. The capillary action will only lift water a short distance, but the matting did remain completely waterlogged in use.

Good capillary action. Kept my plants going when I was away for 2 weeks.

Good quality. Ideal for my young tomato's while we are away. But then Corona struck and we never went away so the matting is still in its wrapper. After 50 years of travelling have decided to hang up the passports so the matting may never be used. Looks good though!!!

For the price this is perfect for use in my greenhouse. Allows me more free time as the plants can soak up as much has they require without overwatering.
