Story of the World, Text Bundle, Paperback Revised Edition: History for the Classical Child: Ancient Times through The Modern Age

We love using this history curriculum. It’s very go at your own pace. Skip/add what you want and definitely family style. We have only completed book one but we loved it. I loved that it was such a smooth transition between subjects. My son loved the start when we studied cave men followed by Egypt and so we spent like 3 months on the first 3 chapters. Doing all the extra activities and finding videos and documentaries. Read all the books at the library we could find and did a museum trip to see a mammoth skeleton. And that didn’t mess up being able to finish this in the needed school year. Because there was other sections he didn’t care about that didn’t grab his attention that we just spent 2/3 days on and moved on. Others we did 1-2 weeks. Very go at our families pace. I also loved the book choices, when I could find them, were such beautiful literally options.

Excellent books. My 9 yr old loves them. They don’t teach this in the public schools. Get them!!

My 10 year old really loves history and we've been looking for books that fit his interest. He's not a big reader of books (he watches short documentaries) and we wanted to encourage more reading. We happened to find one of these books at a half price bookstore and wanted to get the full set. This captures his attention and changed his mindset about reading. These books are now a beloved part of the family library.

These books are great. Perfect for read aloud to younger elementary kids, read aliens for strong readers in upper elementary or for struggling middle schoolers or for an easier reading for middle schoolers. I love how they are broken down into four different sections.

This set is a gem. The kids have listened to the audiobooks but still love to read them. The set teaches the kids so much about the history. And the kids are fascinated about what they learned from the books. Great buy!

My daughter is in 5the grade. I think now it is a good time for her to learn something about history. These books are the good choices. The only drawback is that the description of the webpage is a little bit confusing. I was not sure what many in the series in total.

We have thoroughly enjoyed reading this series as a family. I have learned along with my kids and their retention of what we read is high because of the great writing.
