Do these HE400se come packaged with a better cable now?

Ordered mine on Black Friday, and it did not come with the better cable. Seems like you get lucky or you don't as to if you'll get it.

How are these when compared to beats?

Better in literally every regard. Beats are slightly better than overpriced steaming garbage, while retaining the overpriced aspect.

How do they compare to Sundara?

Sundara sound better. He-400se it's a good entry level into planars I would say.

How do these compare to the HE400i?

Most people (at least myself & professional reviewers) think the HE400se with the new Stealth Magnets are a decent bit better of an overall performer than the older HE400i 2020 (& ESPECIALLY vs the OG HE400i), but they're also harder to drive amp-wise to get them to their peak, & thus said superior audio quality/sonic presentation, so... 🤷♂️ If you already have a solid amp (anything with >≈ say an ESS Sabre ES9280C DAC + amp chip) I'd definitely get the HE400se's even if they're both the same price. OTOH if you don't already have a decent amp, then it becomes MUCH less cut & dry if similarly priced. (The HE400se is usually SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper though, making it basically ALWAYS the better choice tbh).
