Olia Taekwondo Durable Kick Pad Target (2 Pack), Black

I bought these to use with my 5 year old for karate, and we love them. they're definitely durable enough for how hard he kicks, and they'll save our pillows a fair bit of abuse. they do have a plastic smell, but i stored them in the garage for the weekend and the smell is gone now. great product for the price, especially for kids!

Took a couple weeks to arrive and another week to air out the factory stench on them but the $12 price is unbeatable. Through one week of kicking quality seems acceptable (especially when considering the price where some single targets cost 3 times as much). I wouldn't do power back leg kicks on these but instead suggest them for front leg high/low round kicks, high axe kicks, crescent kicks, hook/round combos, and possibly a reverse hook kick or a tornado kick although those can deliver a lot of power and the life span of these targets may diminish if you keep doing these. If the handles fail or break in the coming weeks/months I'll update the review, otherwise these are quite nice.

The items themselves are fine. They seem decent quality, especially for a child. The deal breaker however, is the STENCH that these things emit. If you want targets for outdoor use than these may fit the bill but to have these in your house is unbearable. I let them sit outside in the sun all day and could still smell them 10 feet away. The smell after having them in my house for less than 24 hours has permeated into everything and I cannot get the nasty, new plastic smell out of my home. These things must be made out of toxic waste from the odor emanating from them. Any time an item is shipped with a packet of floral "incense", it might be a clue just not to even open the package. Buy a U.S. made product and save yourself the misery. The only reason I gave 1 star was because there wasn't an option for NEGATIVE 5!!!

We expected a good "clap" sound when these were hit/kicked, but it doesn't work the same as the 'professional' ones used at my boys' dojo. Not much sound at all. Still good for kicking, but not quite as much reinforcement that you got it right.

My son will test for his black belt in TKD in February so I thought I would buy a few extra pieces of equipment for our home to supplement his practice time at home. I ordered these and the shipping was reasonably quick given that these were coming to the USA from overseas. These appear to be tough and durable. My son and daughter really like them. This got two stars removed because one of the paddles has a sizable scuff in it. That scuff will eventually crack and we'll have to tape it or toss it.Otherwise, this was good purchase for the price.

As other reviewers have stated, these things come out of the bag with a HORRENDOUS odor. It's been several months now and they're fine but it took several weeks of airing them out. They are a great product for the price, very reasonable, and have performed as expected. I would recommend these for any beginner in martial arts. My 3 children, ages 11 and 7 yo twins, use them for tae kwon do.

Perfect, does just what it is supposed to do and not expensive. Very durable kids love to train at home.

Totally gets my son motivated to practice at home! Well made and enough padding that he doesn't whine that it hurts (he's 8) and a purple belt with the ATA. They are pretty smelly upon opening but they do tend to air out rather fast.
