Brilliant book, read it and implement its principles immediately. As a member of slt i feel well informed and confident line managing a range of subject leaders and the quality of professional dialogue has improved significantly as a result of this book.

Subject knowledge is so important when designing a curriculum, but what do you do if you are supporting a subject as a leader, and you don’t have the required knowledge? This book has become a bit of a manual for us as we look at the curriculum conversations we have where we are not the subject experts. Having a guide from subject experts for supporting subject leaders in curriculum development is such an incredibly useful tool for meaningful collaborative curriculum progression. I’m not sure what we did without it. We highly recommend this book and anything that Mary and John do.
