Cats love it
My cats absolutely love it. I did have to saw off part of the plastic trunk to screw the wood platform on because it was made a few inches too long to fit...but I purchased it "used" at a discounted price, so I am fine with having to modify it. I have a feeling that is why it was returned in the first place, because it looked brand new to me. Worth the trouble if you are capable of using tools.

CATastrophe Cat Tree
Everything was easy to put together except for the branches that turned into a CATAstrophe. My day started off normal and chill, and I was enjoying putting the cat tree together for my FatCat Jerry however, when I reached for the branches and then realize that chaos that was about to unfold. Turning into a CATaclysmic event where battled the branches.I highly suggest having a pair of wire cutters and strippers available to get the branch wires into the until the holes and the clips that hold the branches. A suggestion to the manufacturer: like everything else, let the branches screw in, provide an alternate source for the branches to be put into the cat tree. My tiny toddler hands could not force those branches into the provided holes and clips.Post review needed up taking the branches off they keep falling out.

Love it but the assembly could be smoother
Overall I love the tree and so does Butterscotch. It’s sturdy and easy to clean compared to a cardboard cat tree. Plus it looks like art in my living room. Here’s a summary of the things I struggled with, see below for detailsStability: I had to hide a piece of folded cloth under one side of the base to get the tree to not wobble when the cat jumps into it (see below for details).Comfort: The pre-assembled leaves are great but I did have to remove a lot of them to get my cat to use the tree. Once he got comfortable with the tree I was able to add back some of the leaves, but the branches are too stiff or prickly for him to push past them so I had to leave some of them off.Size: my cat is 11-12 lbs and is very long lol so the top shelf is too small for him to use. See the pictures I added for help in visualizing how much space it takes upDetails: I’m 5’1 and not very strong and was able to build this myself in maybe 45-60min with my cat distracting me by being cute playing in the leaves along the way. The heaviest part of the tree is the base, and I could lift it just fine. The hardest parts of assembly were adjusting the base screws so that it would stand flat/not wobble and installing the last part of the trunk. The base comes with screws that have rubber heads attached to give it grip on the floor I assume. The problem is that if one of the screws is even a little off compared to the others the tree will wobble! I eventually had to put a folded cloth under one side of the tree because I got tired of adjusting the screws. Then the last trunk and shelf: There wasn’t enough of the inner pole left to fit the last trunk section over, which meant I couldn’t install the last shelf. I had to take it apart and loosen several of the inner rods to regain height, which made me worry about the stability again. But once it came together it looked great and was surprisingly stable.Sturdiness: I lost maybe 2 leaves in the assembly process, but after that the tree has remained intact. It holds up to being jumped on to by my cat, the shelves are super sturdy.Butterscotch likes to lounge in it and watch the birds from behind the leaves. It’s so cute when I find him napping in the tree or on the base. Because he loves it so much and it looks so good in my space I’m willing to overlook the few problems I had with assembly and give it a 5 star rating

Not Quite Right
As advertised, this cat tree is very simple to assemble. However, I had to use duct tape to keep the leaf holders in place. The "trunk" sections are plastic. It advertised to fit large cats. Only my Maine Coon kitten can fit on this. My adult Maine Coon cat won't.It is a nice-looking product, but I would recommend it for small cats only.

Best Cat Toy Investment Ever!!!!
Ok, so my daughter got a small one of these for her cat who was standoffish at first, but now loves it. Point is, when I saw it I knew it would be perfect for my cat. She loves hiding in boxes & jumping out to scare her victims!! That being said, I ordered the large one. I have ordered multiple climbing toys for my cat & she plays with them for about 2 minutes, a total waste of money. I paid the 150 for this because I really believed it would be perfect, and it is!!The delivery was very quick, about a week and a half. The tree was well packed and had no damage. All items were in the box along with instructions. I was a bit intimidated about putting it together after opening it because it’s made up of rather large pieces. It took no more than 20 minutes to put it together, and it only took that much time because I have to find my adjustable wrench. The bars screw directly into the shelves, the “tree trunks” slid over the bars, and you tighten down the shelves one at a time, put a connector on, which is what you need the wrench for, and do it again. I did wonder about a hole in the top shelf. The top shelf, or small perch, has a bolt inside the wood that does not go all the way through the perch; meaning it’s a nice top shelf (an area my cat has not explored yet). I offset the shelves, as they have a little “entry way” at one end of the perch. If you place the entry ways on top of each other it’s had to get from one perch to another. So I “off set” them to be like stairs making transition from one perch to another easier. Additionally, the leafs are adjustable, something I didn’t notice right away. There’s a wire in the base that is well covered, and only goes up about a 1/4 of the way up the branch allowing for positioning of the leaves. Taken straight out of the box they were standing straight up, only after placing my cat on the second perch did I notice adjustablity. It’s nice because I was able to “open up” the entry way. In this way my cat can find the easiest assess point. I left the other leaves in the upright position so she gets that feeling “we can’t see her”, lol!!!!The first photo is of my cat was taken less than 5 minutes after opening the box, while I was as trying to unpack the box!! The second photo I took just after assembly. She wasn’t really too interested while I was putting it together, so I placed catnip on the 2nd & 3rd perch., which she smelled all the way on the other side of the room. Not sure how in how to get in & out I placed her on the money dale perch. The last photo I just took, it’s been about an hour and a half. As you can see she has claimed this as her new home. I placed it in front of a window because she’s an indoor cat, but loves the “concept” of being outside.I bought a section Nd I be accidentally, and am now considering keeping it for another area of the house. It is so pretty and t just looks like an indoor tree!!! I tried to show that in last photo, but it doesn’t look as good on film as it does in person. Also the leaves are not really down, she prefers them up. But if I keep the other one near the front door I’ll definitely put those leaves down, this one’s in a corner of my bedroom.
