Lakeland ActiveMen’s Eden Water Shoes - Adjustable, Quick Drying & Breathable for Beach and Swimming

We bought these shoes for a trip to the waterparks in Florida, knowing the paving will be incredibly hot and the bottoms of the pools potentially coarse, so the advice we were given was that water shoes are hugely important for not hurting your feet.After only a few hours at Blizzard Beach, the insole in my shoes became unstuck and came lose really reducing the comfort and protection they offered. This wasn't just my pair either, we bought them for the whole family (in different sizes) and they all just fell apart.After only 2 days at the water park I ended up just putting them in the bin, they were wrecked.So fine for single-use, but should really be considered disposable in real-world terms.

After reading the reviews, I have to say that I was hugely disappointed with these, the finish on them was atrocious, with loose bits of cotton hanging off in more than one place, my wife's pair which were white and purple were marked, and had a loose piece of rubber hanging off the sole, but we thought we'd give them the benefit of the doubt and try them in the pool. They are completely unsuitable for their purpose, both my wife and myself slid over on the steps of the pool as there is absolutely no grip, we were better off in bare feet, the tightening toggle moved even though it was tightened so that didn't work so we immediately took them off, after only a couple of minutes in the pool, the colour on my wife's pair had bled, also if you hold them up side by side, the sole is uneven on both pairs (ratio of sole to material at the top of the shoe) if it was possible to give zero stars, I would. Total waste of money and time, I have absolutely no idea how anyone could give them five stars!

This is the first time I have bought or worn water shoes to go swimming. I wasn't sure if they'd fit, be comfortable, and how they would be in the water. I was pleasantly surprised. They arrived very quickly. The fit is perfect, and there is a little toggle on the heel that you can tighten to ensure they won't slip off. I really liked being able to walk down a stone jetty and into a slightly rocky and then grassy part of a river to go swimming as I didn't feel as worried about what might be underfoot. The shoes offered enough protection but were still flexible enough to move. I thought it might be hard to swim with them on, but actually it was fine. They didn't create a noticeable amount of drag when I was kicking. Anyway, if you haven't tried water shoes, then these are pretty good.

I purchased these for my upcoming holiday in Spain, with the specific purpose of walking through the rocky section of the foreshore - lots of very small and larger stones and rocks, to get into the sea. Unfortunately the base of these shoes would just not be thick or firm enough to protect one's feet from the smaller - and sometimes sharper - rocks. Also I would estimate that the shoes are about 1 full size too big, which even with the toggle tied, would render them unsuitable. I therefore returned the product and have bought a pair of slides.

I wasn't actually expecting much but I was delightfully surprised, lightweight, flexible and protective with great grip...I tested this by trying to skid across the kitchen floor and ended up headbutting the fridge because the shoes gripped a little too well. Lesson learned!Tested them in the shower.... well why wouldn't you? Don't judge me, it's been a long two years gotta get your kicks where you can. Can't wait to try them on a location shoot... yes I am a photographer and have bought these to do photoshoots in lake... cos let me tell you I have ruined so many pairs of trainers already and doing it barefoot it dodgy... there's squishy icky stuff in those lakes.

Very disappointed. We bought these when a competing brand wasn't available in our local shop, as our son had outgrown the previous pair. The other brand has lasted multiple trips for those of us whose feet aren't growing anymore. By contrast, these shoes (which cost twice as much as the other brand) had loose threads, started coming apart at the seam and the insole started coming out. This was after normal use on a one-week holiday. Disappointing. We would not purchase again.

Had to purchase these as the usual ones my son has always had were sold out in his size. These were more expensive and are no where near the quality of the other ones. My son wore them yesterday for the first time to do water sports at an outdoor adventure place and the soles came home scrunched up by the toes. He said they were ok but a bit annoying. However he wore them again today to do paddle boarding and the insoles have come completely away from the shoe. Such bad quality and will need to buy more for beach break next week now. Hopefully the other make will be back in stock soon.

Ordered a pair of these in pink for my daughter to use at the beach. They arrived very quickly. My daughter is a size 13-1 so knowing neoprene type shoes are usually small fitting I opted for a size 2.I was very impressed with the quality at the price. My daughter loves them. The only snag was the size. I have had to reorder a size 3 as they are so small! Luckily with the speed of delivery we won’t be waiting long.I’d definitely recommend these shoes but go 2x sizes up on your usual shoe size.
