What is the size of the o-ring? Mine disintegrated from being outside, and it wont work without it. I'd like to order a higher quality one.

I don’t know the exact size of the o-ring but if you remove the “plunger” section ( which I assume has the o-ring in question on it) and take it to a hardware store they can fit one to it.

There is a black mono valve floating in my tank. Should it be connected to something or does it float around?

That is supposed to be at the bottom of the pump, if you have your pump in you hand, removed from the tank, flip it over that is where the mono valve is supposed to be
