Lasting fix!
I recently used Rust-Oleum 265495 LeakSeal Flexible Rubber Coating Spray in Clear, and I'm quite satisfied with its performance. Here's my review of this product: 1. **Effective Leak Sealing**: The primary purpose of this product is to seal leaks, and it does this job impressively. I used it to seal a leak on a gutter, and it formed a flexible, rubber-like barrier that effectively stopped the water from leaking through. 2. **Clear and Discreet**: The fact that it dries clear is a significant advantage. It maintains the original appearance of the surface you're sealing, making it almost invisible. This is especially valuable for applications where aesthetics matter. 3. **Ease of Application**: Applying this spray is straightforward. The can design allows for precise spraying, ensuring that you can target the specific area you need to seal without overspray. 4. **Quick Drying**: The product dries relatively quickly, which is convenient when you want to complete a repair or sealing job promptly. 5. **Flexibility and Durability**: The rubber coating is flexible, which is crucial for accommodating surface movement without cracking or peeling. It's also durable and can withstand exposure to various weather conditions. 6. **Versatile Use**: While I used it for gutter repair, this product has a wide range of applications. It can be used on roofs, pipes, windows, and more. Its versatility makes it a valuable addition to any DIY toolkit. 7. **Long-Lasting Results**: Over time, the sealed area has remained leak-free, which demonstrates the long-lasting effectiveness of this product. In conclusion, Rust-Oleum 265495 LeakSeal Flexible Rubber Coating Spray in Clear is a reliable solution for sealing leaks and protecting surfaces. Its clear finish, ease of application, and durable, flexible coating make it a valuable product for various projects. Whether you're dealing with a leaky gutter, a cracked pipe, or any other sealing needs, this spray gets the job done effectively. It's a handy tool for homeowners and DIY enthusiasts looking for a quick and long-lasting fix.

Works Great!
As usual, the Amazon.com delivery was faster than the dates stated. Thank you very much! The Rust-Olem spray works really well for the intended purpose. I used it to stop leaks in my rain gutter where the parts fit together. The main concern: make sure you know where you are aiming the spray and understand the spray is wide right out of the can. The instructions say to hold the can 8-18 inches away from the location you want to stop leaking. (I can't imagine a leak this product could stop if you needed to hold the can 18 inches away to cover the area. You would probably be more successful calling a plumber.) If the leak is a small area, as in a gutter leak, I would recommend holding the can more like 3-4 inches from the spot to be sprayed. Otherwise, you may be spraying your house or something else you did not intend to get the black tarry spray on. Clean up can be difficult and stressful. Use short, quick sprays for the best results. Using a good size piece of cardboard as a back drop between the gutter and the house is a good idea (a lot less clean up and a whole lot less stress). Just trash the cardboard when you are done. And, do not forget to hold the can upside down, to clean out the nozzle, when you are finished. This only takes about 2-3 seconds of pressing in on the spray button.

Good Product. Works on Old Metal Roof
I have an ancient farm house with an old rusting steel roof over the front porch. It has some tiny pinhole rust leaks which I wanted to remedy from the bottom side, because traditional coatings on the top side would ruin the old-roof patina and look. Got this idea when an info-mercial came on about essentially the same product. The pitch man replaces the bottom of his boat with a screen door sprayed with the stuff and motors off on a lake. You know the pitch, buy this amazing product now and get two for only (unspecified) additional handling charges. So I googled the product for reviews and learned that it does work, but is the same thing that is available in stores from Rust-Oleum and others. Worked very well. Has low viscosity when first sprayed, so it will run and drip if you are not careful in applying it to an overhead surface. I've had one hard rain since using it and it did the job. As always, delivery and service from Amazon was superb.

Skylight leak no more
I used 2 cans of this to seal my skylight about 2 months ago. I have previously used tar to attempt to seal it but, the tar over the year that it has been on there has done 2 things, 1. curled up at the edges of the plastic dome to the skylight, and 2. develops small cracks along the metal dome housing. (over time I have added 2 layers of tar) The leak was mostly gone but was still a few drops coming down, so I went looking for a product that would get into the little cracks that the water was coming through. I applied this product as a base layer, using light coats. It took several light coats to use all of the product in 2 cans, but it did appear to fill in the cracks. I then proceeded to use clear 100% silicone caulking along the edges where the tar was curling up. Several rain storms later and so far this has held up tight, zero water. I will update if anything changes, but so far I really like the product.

Does NOT Dry Clear
It does what it's supposed to do but if you aren't planning on painting over it this is not what you want if the change in color will matter. It dries off white. It's a good crack sealer and dried pretty fast in 85f weather with high humidity. It's almost as thin as spray paint when applied in warmer weather, running just like paint if put on thick but the force of it coming out of the can actually pushed it out of the crack until I got further back, making a much wider over spray than I wanted but until it dried white I wasn't concerned but now I have to get a small amount of paint to cover my "tester" area. I ended up getting some Dap flashing ultra clear sealer and pushing it into the crack with a wet finger for the rest of the job. If off white over spray doesn't matter, this stuff will work for thin cracks

I have used a lot of these and they are great for stopping low pressure leaks and seepage. In case of a high pressure leak, this spray can be used along with LeakSeal self fusing silicone tape, to supplement the sealing, till you are able to go for a full repair of the cause for the leakage. (Remember, these are just quick fix solutions and you will need to investigate the cause of the leakage or seepage and get it corrected) These are also able to contain seepage of water from walls and help protect against mold and mildew growth. Do NOTE that, there is a lot of solvent smell, after spraying the coats, so be sure to open all the windows and run your nearest exhaust fans for an hour or two, after the spray job. Also, when finished spraying, be sure to turn the can upside down and continue to spray till only gas comes out, this will help prevent premature clogging of the nozzles. Thanks a lot to Truworth Homes for bringing us these high quality options from Rustoleum. I was never able to find any similar sprayable coating from any other manufacturers(forget, color options), so this is great!
