Our 7 month old immediately gravitated towards them, and squealed in delight when it rattled. You can probably start earlier as a visual piece for tummy time. Each color block has it's own sound, and something "special" about it. Yellow is a mirror. Green is a "holographic" screen which really isn't holographic at all. Blue has a net with an opening on one side, which i slid my baby's hand and she can wave her hands about and still hold onto the toy. Red is the same, with a clear screen. As a parent, i like how it's soft enough to not hurt yet firm enough to be a stackable cube.
