TomTom Car Sat Nav GO Classic (6 Inch, with Traffic Congestion and Speed Cam Alert Trial Thanks to TomTom Traffic, EU Maps, Updates via WiFi, Integrated Reversible Mount)

have bought my 3rd GPS for my car, after all I need one to find the toilet in my 1 bedroom bungalow. I had a TOM TOM for 20 + years and it finally gave up the ghost, it was an expensive buy but so worth it. My 2nd foray into GPS land was a Garmin, it lasted 4 months. I have been ill and didn't need to have another for myself until now.....I bought TOM TOM and just know I won't regret it. Great made, quality item, easy to use, clear screen....large screen, not a lot of faffing about to upgrade, always found Tom Tom easy to utilise. I paid £119.00 for this new one, no sale, still think it's worth it. The new GPS stays quieter on the road, makes you know the left its telling you about is the next....no confusion. Very accurate, great speed watching gives you a nudge when your foot is heavy. So many improvements, so solid a system, shows quality lasts and is sometimes worth paying that little extra for, not that i think the price is steep. Lightweight plastic type composition is a helluva difference from my old one. I loves me my Tom Tom and won't change to a cheaper version, best GPS on the road and easy to store your places you go, loads of functions. GREAT piece of kit

Many years ago I had a small Tom Tom and it never let me down. Then cars had integrated Sat Navs, but they were never as reliable as a Tom Tom and hard to update. My latest car does not have sat nav but wants me to link my iPhone and use a navigation app. No thanks! I have gone back to the TomTom and now set out confident, as I usually drive on my own, that I can get to my destination without fuss. This version has a big, clear screen and using the mounting pads I bought separately, does not slide off the dash. Best navigation product on the market and I got it for a reduced price too! Bonus, I can share it with my daughter whose Volkswagen Beetle is also without built in Sat Nav. Colour me happy.

Works well. Sucker attachment adhered well to windscreen glass but didn't like the dashboard plastics in our Espace, Fiesta or Abarth. Nice and loud. Screen quality was average but you shouldn't be looking at it too long anyway, so not a deal breaker. Did seem to want to send me on the most direct route regardless of country lane size, but that might be something that can be changed in the settings. Small unit size and very cheap too especially with European mapping.

Easy to set up and use

My first Satnav and it’s been a great product for me.Good quality and robust and does exactly what I want it to do.Only slight gripe would be that the sucker attachment did break after a few months.Can’t fault the tech though !

So l purchased another Tom Tom product as the old Tom Tom was pretty slow. Also wanted model where l can update via WiFi rather than through the computer which is a great feature.The 6 inch screen is much better to view.All in all great function and features.

It's quite a complicated unit to set up. However, I downloaded the Tom Tom Classic manual and things got a lot easier for me. I haven't used it yet in my car but I'm sure it would work well once I planned any route.

Possibly the most useless piece of kit I have ever purchased. The TomTomPlan app that is supposed to allow you to upload routes via GPX files and then sync to your device, it just doesn't sync to the device, inserting a micro SD card, it won't allow you to get any info from the card onto the sat nav and as nothing works, try using the chatbot is the only option customer service gives you that is a real chocolate fireguard ie not fit for purpose, doesn't recognise any question longer than about 4 words and you can't phrase the problem you have in that. Overall a complete waste of money and you can't speak to anyone to try and resolve your problem awful awful customer support
