KomodoInfrared Heat Lamp ES, 50 Watt

Bought one blew within days but shattered too, thank god was in a cage so glass didn't hurt my gecko. Thought it was just a one off as never known a bulb to break like that. Second one arrived, well it didn't last days it lasted hours, and broke again. OK third times a charm I bought same bulb from a shop and tested in a animal free viv just to see if it was my set up or just a faulty batch with amazon. 2 days it went pop and cracked but no breakage this time.

This darned lamp exploded within 5-10 minutes of being switched on. Right over my pet crab who was starting to moult. I can't truly express how upset and angry I am, because Amazon would never publish it. I will add however, the lamp had been plugged into a proper reptile 'lampshade'.If you value your pet's life, DO NOT BUY !!!

After only a few months I woke up to find my geckos lamp was not on and assumed the bulb had blown, after opening the tank I was able to see it had shattered into dozens of pieces of glass. This also meant that the metal at the top of the bulb was still stuck inside the light fitting and I had to use tweezers to try and twist it out. Luckily my gecko was unharmed but I’m sure it was frightening. Wouldn’t risk purchasing this ever again due to the safety risk

I bought two bulbs to use to keep my newly hatched chicks warm. One lasted 8 days the other one just 1 day. I am very disappointed and will not buy any more of these bulbs.

Dor some reason this bulb only lasted about a week and was not on the whole time .Not very impressed with the purchase.
