So, you really need to crank those nuts down and inspect them for tightness regularly.The "base" had too thin of material without enough support room to drill a hole so you can set up the anchor as a "release" anchor.In the end, I was able to get the anchor assembled, and since my lake bottom is mostly mud, I don't NEED to set it up for release.If you want a light weight fluke anchor that won't corrode, and you have little fear of your anchor getting jammed in rocks, the price isn't bad.If you are will be anchoring in areas where it can get hung up on the bottom, you should probably skip this anchor. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Honestly a bargain! *by B***7 on Reviewed in the United States on 1 June 2022* I have a Fortress 7lb I use on the front of my boat and I wanted to add a second aluminum Danforth style anchor to replace the heavy galvanized anchor I was using on the back of the boat and I spotted this one on Amazon. Some of the reviews mention struggles making the hardware work, it isn't perfect but it is very doable. Once assembled I compared this to my Fortress and honestly there isn't any discernable difference between the two. Side by side they work just the same. I live in Florida and the bottom I am anchoring in is usually sand. This works great. The key to any anchor working is the rode set up. Get yourself a vinyl coated anchor chain, 4 ft. Then add a good anchor rope. You want at least 7 feet of rode (anchor rope) out for every foot of water depth. If it is windy/rough, the more rode out the better. Get yourself a 100ft rope, its cheap and your boat isn't cheap! I have had this 7lb anchor hold my 25ft tritoon in 25+ MPH winds. Again the key is the rode set up! ### ⭐⭐ Poor Quality Control *by T***1 on Reviewed in the United States on 14 May 2022* It is light, which is only thing I like about it. Very difficult to assemble unless you have kid fingers. Needle nose might help but still painful to assemble. Predrilled holes for screws do not align properly. It seems cheaply constructed and is not symmetrical after install due to poor quality control. The arm is currently rubbing against me metal when in use. I haven't used this yet, but I hope it works better than the way it looks. Seems cheaply constructed. If I didn't have to go out this weekend.
