Side Brush Motor Module for iRobot Roomba 500 600 700 800 900 i3 i7 e5 e6

My roomba was not using the side brush I'm not sure what was wrong with it but I installed this one easily and it started working again. The new brush was not exactly like the oem its has this little thing on the top. If you look at the pictures the one on the top is the new one. Even though its not exactly like the oem one it works and it fits. I'm happy with the purchase. Update: I bought this on April 14 and I tend to let the vacuum lose every few weeks well not its not working well now. what its doing is it will spin once then stop then do on more rotation then stop again then spin again. I think the next time I use it, it will stop spinning completely.

There was a slight hiccup with delivery but that does not impact approval of the product. The motor module took less than 5 minutes to install and came with everything needed to replace. I did a quick test path and all is working great. It is a great option for a quick replacement versus buying an entire new unit.

Purchased end of August, received and installed early September. Been noticing sound of marbles rattling in the vacuum, or the sound of the Roomba sucking up something. After cleaning Roomba debris extractor the sound persists. Finally identified the gears are slipping on this motor causing the noise. Problem has probably been going on for a while as i run the vacuum when im not home. I would not recommend this motor. Lasted less than 3 months. original motor i replaced after approximately four years due to stripped threads from removing and re assembling the brush and the plastic not lasting.

It's a good thing the iRobot has modulated parts. We have three cats and an Australian shepherd dog. The pet hair is outrageous, and the brushes get overwhelmed. I rate this 3.5 to 4 stars because it's plug and play and I had zero problems with this seller or the pricing, but the motor on the replacement is not as strong as the original. Likely, I shall need to replace the replacement sooner than the original. But it's good to know that the overall machine is so easily serviced.

The screws to put it in are captured like the screw holding the cover on. Once you unscrew them lift the old motor out. And set the new in. It will align itself and just tighten the screws alternately a few times each. Don't do more than snug them, they won't fall out. We are on our second replacement as we are cat owners and the fine hairs wind around the shaft under the brush and we don't clean it enough, were both octogenarians with bad skeletal parts.

I have an older model the 960. My brush stopped spinning, and after troubleshooting said it was the side brush module. I picked this kit because you get the module, new brush, and the screwdriver for removing the parts. I felt like it was a great value for the money. I had the old one taken off and the new one put on in less than 5 min. If I ever need another, I will order from this company again! It fit perfectly and the quality was great! Thank you!

The module fits fine into the Rumba. It works. Durability is TBD. No extra loud noise. The spin brush is of poor quality and not standard dimension. The hub is thicker so the stock screw is too short. But, they provided a longer screw. Would it not be lower cost, price of the longer screw, for them if they just made the brushes plastic hub the same as stock dimension? The brush also came all deformed from stored in a crushed condition. Soaked in hot water softened the plastic/rubber to return to its natural state, sort of. I can feel the quality of the rubberize material is not as good as the original. It is not as good as the aftermarket replacement brush I purchases earlier. I did not use THEIR brush. UPDATE: 8 months of use, everything held up and did not fall off. It is attached to the motor module which is also replaceable. So if this product screws up the motor hub shaft, it is replaceable.

Pleased with my whole experience. My order was at my door exactly when they said it would be. The installation was a breeze. No wires or anything to deal with. Brush module pops in like a battery and is held down with 2 screws. New brushes came with a little screw driver that worked to remove underside panel as well. Brushes have been working well for about a week now.

Fit well into my Roomba. However, it stopped working within one week. I saw some tiny copper wire came out from the motor. I have returned the item. Please dont buy this product.

Ho ereditato per inutilizzo da parte di mia madre un Roomba 650… provandolo le prime volte mi sono accorta che spesso la spazzolina rotante, non girava e questo causava un non soddisfacente funzionamento del robot… stavo per abbandonare la causa quando mi sono detta “vediamo se c’è qualche tutorial sul internet che possa spiegarmi il problema”… praticamente tutti i video, indicavano come danno il malfunzionamento del motorino annesso alla spazzolina rotante e cercando qui su Amazon, sono giunta a quello che sembrava un ricambio originale (anche solo per il colore blu). Certo che spendere 30 euro per un pezzo di ricambio per un’aspirapolvere non di mia proprietà un po’ mi pesava… ma quando ho visto questo prodotto compatibile, che costava 10 euro in meno, ho deciso di fare un salto di fede e tentare (sperando nella reale compatibilità del prodotto con il roomba 650). Ordinato la sera e arrivato la mattina dopo! Amazon, Top come sempre. Il prodotto viene senza istruzioni per il montaggio ma è davvero intuitiva la sostituzione: in primo luogo basta svitare la vite al centro della spazzolina e poi rimuoverla (dato che è su a pressione), svitare le 4 viti che ancorano il coperchio sotto al roomba (vi servirà un cacciavite a stella o a croce… non sono espertissima) e una volta rimosso lo stesso, svitare le due vitarelle che ancorano il motorino della spazzola al roomba così da poter sostituire il pezzo malfunzionante con il prodotto nuovo (il cacciavite per questa operazione è incluso nella confezione)…. Avvitare le due viti e procedere con il rimontare i pezzi in ordine contrario. Il roomba ha ripreso vita ed è tornato come nuovo! Decisamente un ottimo acquisto! Consigliatissimo!
