S3 PYO Medicated Dog Shampoo with 3% Chlorhexidine for Dogs – Antibacterial & Antiseptic Yeast Infection Treatment For Dogs & Cats, Clinically Proven, 6.7 fl oz

My senior French Bulldog recently developed very dry, brittle fur that felt like hay/straw and was shedding like crazy. Her skin was also VERY greasy, smelly, and slightly bumpy, even just a week after bathing. She also had dried skin flakes that looked like dandruff. In just one wash her fur was noticeably soft and conditioned; her skin was supple and moisturized; and the best part — no more shedding, dandruff, greasy skin or odor! The bumps on her skin subsided and were no longer inflamed. She also smells amazing! A light coconut scent that is soft and subtle and not overwhelming. We used to use Douxo S3 PYO 10 yrs ago when she was a puppy but stopped after they changed formulas, afraid that it wouldn’t be the same. Boy I wish we hadn’t. For the first time ever, my senior puppy had zoomies after her bath! This will be our go-to shampoo for flare-ups from now on!

My Maltese has always had skin allergies, but as he’s gotten older it has gotten worse, especially with yeast on his skin. This shampoo has been the best product I have ever used (I have tried several) and I am going to also let my vet know about it. It took all the stickies off his fur and skin and made his fur shiny and soft again. He’s no longer scratching himself to a point where he makes his skin bleed and he looks much more comfortable.. Amazing product!

I have personally seen this shampoo help hundreds of dogs with their skin condition. I recently adopted a 3 lb 10 year old Yorkie and he had a thick yellow scab like layer all over his body under his hair that caused him to itch. 3 weeks later completely gone. I always wear gloves when using this product and make sure to gently scrub the skin and let it sit for 5-10min. The first week I used the shampoo on him I did it every other day - so 3 washes that week, the second week I did 2 washes and then by the third week his skin was almost completely healed and I just did 1 wash. Now to maintain he gets a bath with this shampoo every 2 weeks. My first experience with this shampoo was with my bichon. I went to the animal dermatologist and because she was licking her skin raw. It worked within the first week for her and years later, no more itching. I own a grooming shop and I am constantly recommended this product line and seeing amazing results!

Hands down the best dog shampoo I've ever used.y American Pitbull is allergic to everything,I even had him undergo the prick test with the Dermatologist & he's allergic to 40 out of 46 items tested for. So his skin is always broken out, even while doing the Allergy Immunotherapy injections, I'm averaging every 3rd day on giving him another bath & this shampoo is helping him so much! He will be completely broken out, red bumps & hives all over his body, I'll give him a bath & within a few hours, or by the next morning (since I usually bathe right before bed) his skin has significantly improved, half the bumps will be gone, most of the hives are completely gone & the redness is nonexistent! The smell is really great as well, it's a lighter scent, I don't smell any chemicals or any of the normal medicated smell at all & it's light enough you can smell it on your pup if you're up close, but otherwise it's not noticeable. The formula is decently thick, it's not runny at all, but it suds up so great as well - another huge thing most medicated shampoos don't do! You also only need a small amount, it actually advises how much to use on the bottle depending on how large your dog is, but it's so easy to suds up, that you don't need much at all. I have a 64lbs Pitbull & I only use 2 pumps on his whole back, 1 on each side & 1 pump on each leg & that's about it. So the cost is a bit expensive, but it lasts forever with how little you need & with how well it works, its 100% worth it. The pump works great, it has the locking mechanism when you turn the pump to the side, so you don't have to worry about it leaking, we transport it every weekend to our MIL's house, and I just throw it in the bag, never leaked before, you don't have to worry about it. I can't recommend this shampoo enough or stress how well its been working for our 4 dogs!

Anyone who suffers with an itchy, paw licking, hot spot suffering canine- read on. I have a dog who is seemingly allergic to air. His paws get so bad they bleed when he walks!! And at one point he scratched himself raw on his neck. So, this is a severe case. We have tried everything under the sun. Everything. So, I’d consider myself an expert at this point. Here is my honest review of the Douxo line: Shampoo: this is the best product in the line. I use once a week. Honestly, it works for about 2-3 days, then needs another go. That’s expensive for the small bottle and my big dog. It does remove corn chip odor. I try and leave it on 4-5 minutes in shower, but that can be tough with my dog who doesn't love showers. The smell is nice. It removed dandruff and cleared up his neck. I have considered soaking paws in this nightly, but not sure how that would go. Foam: in between washes we use the foam. This does seem to work- though it is messy to apply. I use mostly on legs, paws, and neck. It does keep down corn chip odor and seems to help redness. It is not a miracle cure. And, it's expensive for the extensive use. It helps, but does not cure/end the paw licking. Wipes: I use this extensively on paws each night. It is more cost affordable than the foam, but not as effective. Still it keeps his paws from bleeding. Does not handle the corn chip smell or stop bleeding- is more of a spot clean up. Now, anyone who deals with this knows this is just the outside. My guy is also on the K-9 probiotics. These seem to give him more energy, regular firm stools, and help his repetitive behavior. He does not mind taste at all. We have added Dogs are Human vitamins. All of this makes it bearable - it has not solved the problem. We are adding collagen next and I will update post if it helps significantly. The BIG PLUS of all of this is he is not on Aquapel, and we do not give him antihistamine daily anymore- which I feel good about. My dog is also OCD and the regimine here seems to have really helped with that. He does not chase lights nearly as much as he used to 8 out of 10 improvement. For all of this, I gave 4 stars because it is the best regimen of everything we have tried (which is everything) and has given him about a 6 out of 10 relief. Hope this helps! Best of luck to you!

My dog had maybe a yeast infection, skin allergies... idk. He had scabs and dandruff all over his back and belly, and lots of discoloration on his belly which came out of nowhere, He was constantly itching and I felt so bad for him ): I decided to look into it and found people with similar issues. So, with recommendations, I found this shampoo, and also switched his dog food to a better one. With the switch of his dog food, I can't say that one or the other fixed his skin, or both was the solution, but either way, his skin and coat has made a DRASTIC change in just one month. I have been washing him every 3-4 days with this shampoo for a month now, scrubbing him very well and leaving it to sit on him for 5-10 mins. He hates baths but it's what we have to do! This stuff smells great, it suds up and has a nice lather, rinses well, and leaves his coat feeling soft and clean! I can't complain at all. Yes it is pricey as heck, but if it works how can I complain. when I was researching on the internet for my dog's specific issues, I saw people with similar issues say their dog had a yeast infection, and when they took their dog to the vet, this is what their vet recommended! This is what made me take the jump on the purchase and I was not disappointed.

My frenchie has the worst skin allergies. She is always yeasty. This is the best shampoo for her. We also get the wipes and the foam. As much as she HATES baths, she’s not so itchy after using. 10/10 recommend!!!

I only write reviews if something is amazing or horrible. This shampoo and pads are amazing. We scratch our dog's back before we showered him and a bunch of dandruff surfaced on his back (wish I took a picture). After showering him with the shampoo and rubbing two conditioner pads on him the dandruff was gone. Two days later and I still no longer see the dandruff. Plus he has stopped itching himself. This stuff really works!

This shampoo will make your pet fur so soft and shiny . And the best part is reduce her dander by 75% … she is more calm now .. less scratchy. Since we live in humid so I shower her every 4 - 5 days .
