Japanese Tempura Deep Fryer Pot with Thermometer 2.3L/8inch- Nonstick Coating Frying Pot, Heatup Fast, Oil Fryer Perfect for COUPLES

I had to practice on how to set my temp to get a level cooking temp for the oil on my flat top electric range. But now that I got the procedure figured out Im hooked. Even the odd not flat pan bottom, for me it works. It keeps my fried items like egg rolls that sink to the bottom from burning sense they are lifted up off of the hot hot part of the electric burner. Was this the purpose of this odd design,,,no idea,,,, but it works for me. The only thing I don't like is the bottom of the pot is loosing the non stick coating from rubbing on the flat top range. What will it look like after a few months, not sure, but I don't think it will affect its cooking ability. for the price I didn't expect le creuset!

Warning: You will eat so much fried food with this thing it can be dangerous to your health. Fried foods are great, and this pot works amazingly well. There is very little splattering with this pot since the flip top lid is curved on the sides, so most oil that goes up, comes back down into the pot again. The draining rack is spring tensioned into the lid and can easily be removed for cleaning. The thermometer is great for letting you know when the oil is hot enough, and what temperature the oil is while cooking. The only downside would be the handles on the sides get too hot to touch while cooking, so use a hot-pad. I love my fry pot, and hope my arteries will forgive me.

My daughter likes to deep fry a few foods. I don't like deep fried food at all, so she usually makes just a few of each item. I initially got a small deep fryer, but the small ones are horrible to keep clean. She stopped using that and started deep frying in our nice non-stick pans. I was not a fan on this. So - enter this pan. It's got a nice shape to keep the oil from splattering out. The lid with a drain rack is awesome for letting some of the oil drip off before plating. I don't know if she uses the thermometer or not, but it wasn't hard to find the right stove temperature setting to make this just right. The only complaint we have is the pins on the top hinge that allows the top to fold up don't fit well. At least half of the time when we go to open the top, it just comes off. That's the only thing I'd change about it. Otherwise it's a great size for a single person's meal - or maybe 2, it's pretty, has a great draining rack, and is easy to use.

I actually bought this classy pot to make rosettes, it’s especially nice with the wire drip tray to place the rosettes on! The thermometer that came with it worked great to keep the oil at a safe temperature. With the flat low profile of the spot, it’s much less likely to tip over. I kept the oil at a minimum, and my rosettes turned out wonderful. Very Nice Pot.

Lid at angle felt precarious at best. Multiple times I thought the food would fall back in and splatter scalding oil everywhere. It’s splattered oil constantly, did not really hold it in. Thermometer accurate but rattled loose in pot. Gonna get a fry daddy instead

Disappointed about the quality. Thin and light pot. Coating inside comes out. Some scratches outside.
