I had one in this spot, and a few along the windowsil. I was replenishing the cardboard and came across this.This is a vast improvement for humans and cats. The cat improvement is obvious: it's a box. Cats love boxes. The scratcher being at the bottom of a box means it contains all the bits of cardboard. All you have to do is hold the inside in place and shake it over the bin once a week.I purchased the version that came with multiple inserts because I am not sure if buying perfectly sized inserts will be easy. They are easy to stash, and I find they do last a decent amount of time, but that's because my cat would be fine with them never being changed. I just like to get new ones after a certain level of destruction.When one is used up, flip it over and use the back before switching to the next one. I am considering replacing the windowsill lining scratcher with box versions so I will finally be free of what I have come to call Cat-Glitter. My cat loves this box. She scratches it, she sleeps in it, she plays with her toys in it and it’s not too much of an eye sore in my room. I’ve had one for 4 years now and I’m only replacing it because I knocked water all over it and it didn’t dry nicely.

It essentially is a cardboard box - it’s quite thick compared to normal boxes, as the wee man usually bites them, spits it out & it’s scattered all over like confetti. This box is made of stronger stuff though. He can’t bite through this. I got the large & he’s quite chonky at 6kgs, he fits in it comfortably. Easy to assemble. I’ve had it two days & he loves it. He’s in it just now sleeping like an Angel. As he’s my shadow (if you know you know), I literally have to carry it around with me. Tonight I carried it - with him in it from the spare bedroom down to the sofa. Like he was a King in his throne. At 12 quid I thought it was steep for a box but honestly worth every penny to see my wee guy happy!

Very good product, with more than one scratcher which allows you to replace it once one is overused. I decided to go for this product because of the box as the previous one I had made a complete mess. She didn’t initially use it as she did not enjoy that it was flat. I added some elevation to it by adding a towel underneath it and is now a big fan.

My cat loves this box. He loves all aspects. He claws it. He plays through the holes. He attacked the mouse. But would be good if it was actually large cause he cannot lie inside it. The sitting cat barely fits inside it ! Beautifully made!!!!!!!!!

This arrived today but unfortunately it's really not big enough even for my smaller cat. She sat in it and there was no free space in the box, so the other cat definitely wouldn't fit.The main problem however was that the (admittedly dopey) puss decided that this a new litter tray 🤦🏻‍♀️. When I left the room for a minute, I came back to two "messages" left in the box. So it's straight into the bin, though I've kept the spare scratch pads.

Both love the new scratching box/bed, easy to put together even older cat manages to get in and out easily and is happy to sleep in it, both loved to use as a scratching place straight away.

Cats love this. The width fits perfect on windowsill, they always sleep in this next to the window.
