I didn’t find the duvet scratchy at all - it’s very nice after washed and gives a nice weight to my comforter. I love the lightly wrinkly lineny look, and shams fit our pillows perfectly. I would recommend comparing the dimensions of your comforter to the duvet before ordering and then you shouldn’t have any size issues - I also have no issues with only 4 ties to keep the comforter in place.
