Can you identify the wires? which wire is the amber, white, and ground?

Well - I ordered the Amber/Red one by mistake.. and the BLACK wire is GROUND, the YELLOW wire is (+) for AMBER, and the RED wire is (+) for RED. Hooking up the YELLOW and RED wires to (+) does NOT make the AMBER and RED LED's light up at the same time.I hope this helps!

When White powrd on...amber turn signal on and stays solid has no blinker...one side whit othr amber...rear does blink

Here is the wiring method: the red connect to battery positive for white light, the yellow connect to turn signal equipment positive for amber, the black connect to negative. Also this is LED light, so the flash relayer need to be compatible with LED.

I plan to get the amber/red, a handlebar switch and a blinker relay. Will the amber blink in a chase directionally or solid together?

Solid red or solid Amber. The Amber does not Cascade showing the direction of turn. So depending which direction you turn on it will blink Amber while the other remains red.

is there any special splitters / modules needed to have the strips function as both running light and turn signal

No just wire them in. Connect them to which ever liight you want. Not that red tail light turns off when amber turn signal comes on..
