Grand Lies: 1 (The Promise Duet)

Grand Lies absolutely blew my mind and it’s definitely one of my favourite books of all time. Romance, suspense, comedy... everything you need is right here. I reread the sample twice before I managed to get the paperback. It’s an ache that I need to satisfy because I can’t get enough of it!This is one of the books I stayed up till 1AM to finish because I needed to know what’s going on more than I needed to sleep. Nina and Mason, where do I start? The chemistry is unreal, the sex is hot and the secrets are dark. While they set my world spinning, I adore the other characters in the book - they are all different and loveable in their own way and I love their relationships with the main characters.I promise you you won’t be able to put this book down once you start. And I can’t wait to see how the story unfolds in Grand Love. Thank you Jess for blessing us with your writing! I’m super excited to see where you bring us next x

I honestly don't know how to put into words how absolutly AMAZING this book is. I finished it in one sitting... from the very beginning I was completely hooked and was left wanting and NEEDING more. This was my first read from JC hawke and most definitely won't be my last. It's not often a book can have me feeling all the emotions but with this book I felt it all... the highs, the lows, the pain, the lies, the secrets THE STEAM 🔥 you name it I felt it! I have fallen completely and utterly in love with Nina and Mase before I even finished Grand Lies I had Grand Love pre ordered.I have friends that don't enjoy reading at all and always give me stick for the amount of reading I do.... after a lot of encouragement they caved and agreed to read this book - let's just say they all ate their words after reading this amazing book 😜💙JC Hawke all I can say is your writing completely captivated me you have such an unreal talent and I cannot wait to see what future books you have in store for us. Thank You for getting me out of my reading slump !!!💙

Even though this is not my favourite type of book I saw so !any recommendations that I decided to give it a go, and it was well worth it.Is it melodramatic as hell? Yes. Are the characters ridiculous at times? You know it. Is the drama that constantly go through insane. Of course.But, the tension in this is good, if unrelenting, and I was actually rooting for them all the way through. Glad I picked it up, even though I could quite happily bang their heads together at times. Not sure how there can be another book of !material in it, but I guess we'll find out

Loved loved loved this story can't wait for Grand Love Nina and Mason they both have their issues to work through but their chemistry ♥is off the pageI also love the other characters so good without giving the plot away Nina and Mason are not in a good place at the end of the first book as there are a lot of trust issues 💔 and someone trying to sabotage their relationship so it's going to be hard for them to see a way forward but time will tell September is round the corner but willing it to get here a little bit quicker for book two

Not a swoon-worthy hero at all. Basically a man in his thirties acting like a teenager, making a decision to go out and get pissed! How can that type of man ever be attractive. I gave up after a few chapters.

Firstly a massive congratulations to JC Hawke on her DEBUT, yes debut, book.Your writing flowed beautifully and before I knew it, an hour (more like 2) had easily passed.Nina and Mase's story was everything but i loved the relationship between Nina and her girls just as much. Their easy banta and antics is incorporated seamlessly throughout the book (which is just as well when Nase is being a prick).Nase is your typical alpha but his wit and charm makes him loveable throughout. Nina is golden. She's sassy, intelligent, honest and open. They compliment each other to a tee.I cannot wait for the next book and to find out what happens next with Nina and Mase. Warning: there's an almighty cliffhanger. Second warning: don't start reading late at night as it'll keep you up for hours and will make your morning alarm feel like death.Congratulations again Jess. Now, go and get a gin!

I'm going to be honest I don't tend to read books set in the UK I'm not sure why? Too close to home maybe? I've tried to read a few and just can't get into them. This book has changed my mind loved the storyline and the twists and turns. I completely felt all the emotions through the story I can't wait to read the second book after the cliffhanger ending.

Was recommended this book abs it’s nothing like others Iv read this book hold true struggles of life and not just a fairytale the hurt the drama and past trauma you name it you have it in this book but you also have love and passion I highly recommend this book can’t wait to start book 2
