gripping again
Another truly gripping read. Twists and turns which are unexpected, couldn’t put this book down. Read all of the Calladine and Bayliss mystery books. Fantastic.

A cracking good read
This is Calladine & Bayliss at their best. There are some annoying little things. Like does the Hobfield estate have only one block of flats? Everyone seems to live in Heron House. Surely there are other places to live. Either that or it's one huge block! The author seems to have forgotten again that Ray Fallon is no actual relation of Tom's. And as for Ruth saying she doesn't intrude on Tom's life...well don't get me started. Other than those little things the story was really quite good.

good
Another good book , I love Helen Durrant novels, I’ve not read a bad one yet. Calladine is up to his neck in it again solving an old murder mystery that comes to light when a new one is left with the same wall writing signs, an old nemesis is back and threatening his daughter and grandchild.

A really great police/crime thriller with lots of twists.
These stories are getting even better. Love the report between the main characters. The multi-faceted plots also keep you wanting to ‘just read another page’ and then another! Start at book 1 and work your way through all 11.

Calladine and Bayliss...grow on you!
I read books 1 through to 11 back to back. I found book 1 slow going, lots of characters, many with nicknames to add to the confusion, but I persevered because the plots were full of twists and red herrings and kept me reading. As I worked through the series I became more involved with the back stories of the main characters, as well as getting more hooked into the complex plots. I read 9 books then discovered another two...well, I just had to read them. Certainly a good read for those who like a plot to keep them guessing.

Dead Sorry
This is a good story with good plot and characters. It seems more like a first draft though, than the finished book. It seems to lack a bit of depth in describing or setting each scene. Most lovers of Detective fiction should enjoy it.

Another great read.
Helen Durrant is at the top of my terrific author list. I wait for her next book and can't put it down, finishing it quickly. She has a wonderful writing style with many twists and turns. Several things are going on and you think you know who done it, but you don't until she ties it all up at the end. She doesn't use profanity and doesn't need to, a sign of a gifted writer.

Great Read
This is just one of the complete Calladine and Bayliss series by Helen H Durrant that I have read so far. I must say that once again I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. Good story, good plot lines, engaging and believable characters, all the ingredients of a great story.

Great ending to a wonderful series.
Once you start the series, there's no turning back. Truly wonderful, suspenseful series. Great story line also. I'm gonna watch to see if there will be more of this story, but will defiantly read more of Helen's other books.
