Perfect helmet! The white keeps your head cool in the summer heat and the size is constantly right for my husband to wear.

I own two of these helmets and what arrived from this seller was only superficially similar to a real Shoei product. No Shoei logo on the front of the helmet, cheap flexible plastic visor, not in an original Shoei box, no helmet cover included. This was in addition to the fact that the advertisement if for a black helmet and what arrived was a white helmet.

I am a long time wearer of Shoei helmets. I only wear helmets that are Snell foundation approved since I feel that they absorb and distribute hard impacts better than non Snell helmets. I had a very serious motor cycle accident in 2009 and my open face Shoei took two very hard hits on the pavement. I unloaded and hit the road at about 45 miles per hour and my head did a double bounce that severely bashed the helmet in two places. Had I not been wearing my Shoei my . head would have been cracked open like an egg and my brain scrambled. I believe I would have been killed or at the minimum suffered severe brain trauma. This of course would have greatly impeded my healing and I probably would have been a vegetable.I much prefer the open face as I feel it gives me much better visibility to surrounding traffic and I feel it is much more comfortable than full face protection helmets. I also feel it give much more ventilation .less of a cooped up feeling when riding. This new helmet is much lighter than my old Shoei and much more comfortable. I like the removable interior padding so I can take it out and clean it once in a while.I normally wear a large but have found that the x large fits me just perfect.I have worn Shoei open faced for over 30 years and they are an excellent helmet. They are not cheap but you cannot buy a brain at Walmart for fifty bucks so why buy a fifty dollar helmet. Your head hits the highway best have a Shoei tween your brain and the concrete or learn how a carrot functions. Been there twice.
